I was in a Border's the other day looking at magazines. I noticed that a bunch were put in the wrong places. And, it's stuff like this, that makes me realize how pathetic the human race is. Seriously. Every day, it's confirmed. By cigarettes being thrown out of car windows, and a million other little things I see. But...how hard is it to put a magazine back in the right spot? I mean, technically, you're probably not even supposed to be reading it. Isn't the point of a book store to "sell" their merchandise? Although, I won't fault anyone for reading the material without paying for it. With all the little coffee shops and seats they've put in the bookstores, it's like they want you to buy a cup of joe and sit there with their books and magazines. But the least you pathetic, lazy people can do is put them back in their proper place.
I'm a little more tolerant of greeting cards that aren't put back in the proper space. Sometimes, after you open it and read it...you can't find where you took it from. You might get frustrated and just put it anywhere (not that that's an excuse...but it's a lot harder to find the card, then the cover of a Sports Illustrated swim suit edition...uh...just a coincidence that I picked that issue as an example).
At least with greeting cards, it's a lot better than the idiots that just fold over the corner to read what's inside, because they're too lazy to pull it out of the slot.
And, to the large family that was in Border's on Carmel Mountain Road on Thursday...don't just let your kids run thru the store screaming and carrying on. If you want to give them a kids book, and if they get a little loud, we understand. But, everyone shouldn't have to listen to such high pitched screaming.
Of course, had I said something, I'm the A-hole. And, the guy would've said "This isn't a library."
Believe me, usually I say something. But I had my purchase and was ready to leave anyway. No need for me to fight other peoples battles.
