Well, Charleton Heston died. And, I thought I'd do a blog about him.
Not so much about him. I love movies, and love his films. They're classics. Ben-Hur, 10 Commandments, Planet of the Apes, etc.
He was the first guy in movie history, to have an inter-racial kiss (Planet of the Apes). It's weird to think, that didn't happen until the 60s. I remember when I heard that the first French kiss in a film was in the early 60s (with, you guessed it, Warren Beatty).
I couldn't figure out why liberals got so upset with Heston over being president of the NRA. It didn't make sense to me, why liberals get up in arms, over fire arms. It's such a weird debate. I mean, if you aren't going to let hunters have guns, what about the Ted Nugent types that use crossbows? And, before you know it, we're taking away everything.
Just make laws stricter, regarding weapons.
For example, a few days ago in Detroit, a 3-year-old girl found a gun in her house and shot herself in the head.
The gun belonged to her parents.
I say, the parents should be charged the same as if they got mad at the girl, put the gun to her head, and pulled the trigger. Really, there should be no difference.
I always thought, if you had kids in the house, you either had the bullets in a different location, and both places were where kids couldn't get to them.
But, you can't blame things like this on the NRA or people wanting to own guns. I'm saying that, and I don't even own one. And, I probably never will.
It's the same thing about smoking in bars. I don't smoke, but thought they should be allowed.
I think more people have to look at issues, and decide whether they are fair or not. They shouldn't just judge them based on what their party thinks, or because they think banning guns will make society safer. It won't.
It just means that 3-year-old wouldn't have shot herself. But with the parenting going on in that house, it would've probably been something else.
