Ozzy and Elvis -- The Bigger Medicine Cabinet

Auctions that have unusual items from Elvis and Ozzy.

Well, as a collector of music memorabilia, I'm always interested when stuff comes on the market. I laughed, though, when I heard about Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne selling furniture and art from their homes in Beverly Hills, Malibu, and England (I never thought I'd see "art" and "Ozzy" in the same sentence).

The auction will have a few items from the reality show, including their troubled son Jack's black leather bedroom furniture, and a cast-iron crucifix that was seen in their den in many episodes.

Some of the proceeds will go to Sharon's cancer foundation, which is nice.

I just wish they had cooler stuff. Maybe one of Black Sabbath's platinum records. One of Ozzy (or son Jacks) paper work from rehab. Hell, I'd even take the medicine cabinet Ozzy had in his home. That would be interesting. It's probably the size of Amelda Marcos' shoe closet.

Which reminds me...there was an auction earlier this year, that had a gun Elvis owned (and probably shot a few TVs out with), and they also had a bottle of his pills. I think that sold for a grand. But what made me laugh is the winning bid found out, that they couldn't receive the pills that were inside. I guess it's against the law to buy another persons prescription medication. And, shipping it to another state broke a second law.

I remember doing a phone interview with Ozzy in the early 90s. At the end, I wanted him to say "This is Ozzy, and whenever I'm in San Diego, I listen to 102.1 FM." After 15 minutes of him trying, and messing up, he asked me to fax it to him. I did that. We then spent another 25 minutes, and we never got a clean take, although we played his attempts, which always made listeners laugh.

I wish I had that tape today.

I wish I had his medication. It's 2:15 a.m. as I'm writing this crap.
