I tried fitting a lot into my day. I went to Palm Springs to see Jim Gaffigan. I missed him the last few times he was in town.
I stayed the night there, and can't for the life of me, see what the appeal is over Palm Springs. People feel the need to just "get away". Whatever. We live in San Diego. Why "get away" from that?
But, on my drive back, I wondered, if there is a better comedian working today than Gaffigan. The guy is so funny.
Even the routines of his I had heard before, like his love of bacon, and how it's so good, it's probably the reason Kevin Bacon became a successful actor. Or, how crappy Hot Pockets are. It's still funny to hear. And, he always seems to add bits to those routines (bacon bits).
If you get a chance, go catch him.
Or, just listen to KGBs morning show. They seem to play clips of him every other morning.
