When my boss first asked me to do a blog each day, I wondered if I'd be able to come up with enough topics.
But, there's always stuff to gripe about. And, there are other times where I hang up the phone with a friend, and feel like transcribing our entire conversation.
He just told me, I believe he saw this in the Reader's News of the Weird, about a guy getting tortured, by freshly cooked chocolate chip cookies that were pressed against his flesh.
We both agreed, that for me, the torture would just be being tied up and having them put in front of my face.
I then told him that there was a story about a 6-year-old girl on CNN. She wrote an essay on her dad dying in Iraq, and out of a thousand kids, won tickets and airfare to a Hanna Barbara, or..Jack Hanna...wait...Hannah Montana, that's it. A concert of hers. She also got a complete make over, and other goodies.
It just so happened, a reporter looked up the dad. He doesn't exist. He then confronted this woman, who of course, didn't want to comment.
I'm not sure what the company can do. I hate the idea of taking away tickets from a kid, when you know it was the moms idea to do this. And, if it was the childs idea, the mom should've explained why it was wrong.
But then, in our society, we don't seem too concerned about teaching people right from wrong. And, we don't seem concerned with punishing people properly.
That's why singer Brandy, who killed someone when her SUV hit them going 65, isn't going to be charged.
What a great country we live in.
