I hate when I don't get the entire story from the news.
Today, I wake up and hear about a Tiger attack at the San Francisco Zoo. I hear them say that three guys may have been taunting the tiger.
As I head out, I wonder how that's possible.
It wasn't until I got home, that zoo and animal experts said that that's impossible. With a 15 foot mote, and a 20 foot gate, not only would it be hard for the tiger to get out that way...but what would you do to anger it? I'm guessing sticking your tongue out at it wouldn't do the trick.
The other day in the sports section of the paper, I read a soccer story. That hardly ever happens, but the woman pictured was cute. I was intrigued.
She was a goalie on the U.S. team, and the story was about her getting benched, and then the team losing 4 - 0. Her dad died before that, and playing soccer was helping her thru the loss.
She told reporters how angry she was at being benched, and the coach and team, shunned her. She wasn't allowed to pick up her bronze medal with the team.
The coach was later fired. And now, she's back behind the goal posts.
But what I wanted to know was...why did the coach bench her in the first place. And what did she say to reporters that was so horrible? Sure, dissing your coach is never professional, but if you get benched and don't know why.
I also wanted to know, if she even asked her coach why. If she didn't, she's an idiot. If she did, and he told her, why is she not explaining that in this story.
I didn't know which side to be on.
With the tiger, well...that's easier to take sides. These are wild animals that are caged. I'm not one of those PETA people, but I also think it's a shame that a tiger was killed, when it was going on its instincts.
