DJs on the Radio

A DJ talking about wedding invitations

On the days I wake up early enough to hear a morning show, I tune to 101.5 KGB FM. I think they're usually ranked #2 behind Jeff & Jerr in ratings. J&J can be funny, but they aren't that original, and they cater to a female demographic.

I can't do a lot of the "talk radio" unless it's sports. The political shows, all end up sounding to me like Rush Limbaugh wind bags. Even the ones I agree with politically.

But for some reason KGBs Dave Rickards, keeps saying stuff that I want to strangle him for. Because I think he's totally wrong.

The latest was his engagement. He went on this angry rant about two females that called his fiancee, to ask why they weren't invited to the wedding. He thought that was extremely rude and in bad etiquette. I don't disagree there, but what I'd love to tell him, and I've been telling people for 20 years. IF you are getting married, you are going to have those people on the cusp, that you couldn't invite, but you know will be a bit bothered that they missed the cut. I say, BEFORE you send out invitations, call them. Say "We could only invite 100 people. With my relatives, and his relatives, and our coworkers... that left us 25 friends we could invite. And, as much as I enjoy your company, I basically see you once a month. And, I have friends I see daily, that I'm inviting to the wedding. I just want you to know this, because I think it would be horrible for you to hear people talking about my wedding, or invitations, and for you to be expecting one and not get one."

I dunno. I haven't figured out how to properly word it. But, I think that works a lot better than a bunch of ladies having breakfast, and all our discussing the invitations, while one is sitting their quietly, wondering where her invitation was.
