The Pig Sweater

i keep asking my sister if she still has my PIG SWEATER...i gave it to her a long time ago when she went into the board and care home in El Cajon

she has had nearly everything she has of any value stolen in the 2 years she's been there..including her upper denture.....i've often ask the staff about these thefts and they shrug their shoulders and say they don't know what's up but think she just gives her stuff away

her teeth...she gave her teeth away??!!

i know it's probably the caregivers stealing...because if it were the other clients my sis would see them wearing the stuff

would you believe they even stole her bedding!!!

our society in general has become very non-virtuous ...it's elder abuse...but i guess they think the fact my sister is well housed ...fed...and safe more then makes up for it

i think the relatives are expected to just look the other way

i just wish i'd known that before i loaded her up with very nice semi expensive stuff...she looked so pretty at first...now all she has is dull plain thrift shop apparel that gives the impression she's not a person of worth...she's unimportant...you don't need to give her a second thought

and she knows that and to some extent behaves accordingly...it hurts me to see that happening

they took her new winter coat....so when she walks out and about (and she walks a lot) she cant stay warm

the pig sweater is a Quacker Factory sweater that i bought on an impulse and never wore but loved to take out and ooooooooo and ahhhhhhh over it's supreme cuteness

recently i bought a supremely cute pig hat

i also bought it on a impulse and will never wear it....but it reminded me that if i had the sweater back i could ooooooooooo and aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh over 2 items of supreme cuteness

I WANT THAT SWEATER BACK

my sister says it's never been stolen but when i put her to the test and ask for it who knows what will happen

she's never worn it either even tho she loved it when i gave it to her (as she did every item of new clothing i gifted her with that have all been stolen or given away).....

she say's it's folded neatly in a drawer looking simply adorable and it's safe and sound

i'm hesitant

should i be an Indian Giver and ask for the sweater back??

what if she's been lying to save my hurt feelings and it's been stolen (given away) too

i'll be heart broken....I LOVED THAT PIG SWEATER

if it's gone then i guess i might as well give her the pig hat too so it can get stolen

(or given away to the person she gave the sweater to)

it's a delemma

i have a peaceful heart but.......

~~SIGH~~
