Hey, how 'bout that crazy Anglo-Saxon nut, Fred, huh? In his press release, alto-saxophonist Saxon jokes about "possible celebrity sightings of Elvis and Jerry Garcia." Nothing like a topical Elvis reference to add more laugh-lines to my face. Stick to blowing the sax, Fredo, not jokes.
The concert will be held Sunday July 21st from 5pm to 7pm at Standley Park Rec Center on Governor Drive in University City. Look for the open area between the Standley Recreation Center and the Swanson Pool. (Isn't that where Bill Holden took a permanent bath?)
Blue Hooz will open for Fred and the gang. Parking is available along Governor Drive and most of the surrounding side streets.
