Will it be Lincoln or Argo? Hunt or Field? Zeitlin or Lee? Phoenix or Washington? France or Dick?
Who cares? We'll goof on all of them and more during The Big Screen's annual Live Oscar Blog!
I've already submitted my personal choices, but for those of you playing along at home here my prediction for this year's winners:
Best Picture: The Academy has egg all overs its face for not nominating Affleck for what Dave Kehr calls a, "mildly glorified HBO movie" that concocts a "feel good story about American operations in the middle east." Argo wins.
Best Director: Haneke deserves it, but Spielberg will win.
Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis. What award hasn't he won?
Best Actress: Dying with dignity hits closer to home with Academy voters than bi-polar disorder. Emmanuelle Riva, not Jennifer Lawrence, will take home the prize.
Best Supporting Actress: Anne Hathaway. Not bad for 4 minutes' work.
Best Supporting Actor: Arkin is the sentimental favorite and Jones has the hair for the part, but I'm betting on Col. Landa to waltz off with another Oscar.
See you this Sunday evening for the 5:30pm kick-off.
