Eastwood marriage plunges off heartbreak ridge

The 17 year marriage of Clint Eastwood, 83, and his second wife, Dina Ruiz Eastwood, 48, has been shot down in the line of fire.

The impact wasn't so sudden. According to a source quoted in US Weekly, "Clint fell out of love with Dina a long time ago."

With their anemic marriage desperately in need of blood work, Clint threw down the gauntlet over a year ago when the once beguiled and breezy couple took up separate residence. Clint will hereafter talk to the trees rather than this wife.

Hit by several troubling curves, the union had progressed from good to bad. Clint and Dina don't want the breakup to turn ugly. They both promise to keep it amicable and not get clothes-lined by a media tightrope.

The Eastwoods had one million(s) dollar baby together, 16-year-old Morgan.

Dina's settlement will no doubt amount to a few million dollars more than a fistful. Will it be the Pink Cadillac and Gran Torino or a pair of Sister Sara's mules? It should be an interesting property settlement. In a perfect world, Dina would live off the residual checks from the tarantula-sized turkey, Mrs. Eastwood and Co. File Clint's work on the reality series under "Forever Unforgiven."
