Tomorrow night's On Sceen gala to be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla is their 36th annual celebration of "the incredible legacy of contemporary art and the silver screen." No Lubitsch.
According to the museum's press release, "Art has been intersecting with film, video, and celluloid for over a century and this year MCASD itself will become ‘The Screen.’ Our walls, floors, and ceilings will be bathed in flickering lights and the saturated colorful glow of masterful artists, from the well known to the obscure, creating a truly magical feast for the senses. Get out your red carpet attire and prepare to be treated to the ‘A List’ experience. At Monte Carlo On Screen, you're the star!"

I'd still prefer watching Dietrich in a gorilla suit croon Hot Voodoo, but the event is for a worthy cause so I'll shut up and plug. The shindig commences with a cocktail reception at 6:30pm followed by an open-air dinner at 8:00pm.
