Quentin Tarantino gives red band Django trailers a personalized touch

First a shout out to RZA, now Brad Pitt

First came Quentin Tarantino's shout out to "my boy" RZA at the head of the Django Unchained trailer that played theatrically before The Man With the Iron Fists. Those fortunate enough to have seen Killing Them Softly this weekend, (Matthew hated it, I didn't) experienced another personalized pre-show treat, this one dedicated to QT's bud and favorite Nazi scalper, Brad Pitt.

The KTS trailer is nowhere to be found, but Tarantino's introduction to The Man With the Iron Fists preview is floating around YouTube. (Tarantino filmed both of the intros in one day.) This subtle form of video piracy didn't take place inside a theatre. I'm betting it was an enterprising lab tech/Tarantino maven who grabbed the fuzzy dub off of a workplace computer monitor.

For a guy capable of writing dialog with the best of them, why the dependance on a teleprompter? It would have been even funnier had they just filmed one spot and dubbed in different names and titles.
