America's fair-haired Potentate of Putrescence, John Waters, has at last decided to go public with his feelings concerning the MDA's heartless treatment of ousted Chairman of the Board and former Telethon host Jerry Lewis.
The author/director shared his thoughts on a Labor Day counter-attack with The Baltimore Sun's Mike Sragow: "Can't the loyal-to-Jerry MDA kids form a flash mob and wreck the set right when the Telethon goes on the air as a protest?"
Waters hasn't been quite this topical (and subversive) since his pre-MPAA glory days.
The high-minded Mr. Lewis has decided to take the high road. The Commander will wait until the last of the confetti from this year's Jerry-free Telethon has fallen before holding a marvelous press conference on September 5.
