I like to watch movies and I like the On Demand concept. On the internet. Cox made some website changes awhile ago. They have a place to click to take you to a page to see what movies are available On Demand. The movies do not seem to be listed in any particular order and there is a synopsis of the plot. Then there is a: "Find out more" to click. The next page contains the same EXACT information, adding the names of the stars & director. Here it is (copied direct from the Cox website):
Kick back at home. Find a movie On DEMAND.

So, I wrote to Cox advising that this is an incredible waste of time & space. List the movies, preferably in alphabetical order and include the 3 lines of "Movie Details" information in one description. They apparently did not agree as they have made no changes. I just don't like all that wasted time & space.
It is easier to go through the choices via the On Demand TV listings but that is not terribly efficient either.
I recently called Cox on a computer issue and noticed that the first line (after they announce Cox Communications) is: To continue in English, press 1. If they want to announce that for Spanish or any other language, go ahead. BUT, this is the USA, we speak English and I, personally really hate that. They should assume English and offer choices only for languages other than English. OK???
Walking along F St. today, I noticed that many homeless have made camp. Every tree has a cart & belongings. They have everything covered up and there must be some "code among homeless" about not stealing, because there wasn't anyone around. It certainly adds to the charm of our City. Maybe CCDC could provide a brochure with photos of the more attractive "camps", including the California Theatre as one of the prime locations. The photo below is taken on the north side of F St., looking east.
A few days ago I attended a seminar. In this small group. I was heartened to hear that most everyone agreed that our City Council, has little to be proud of, which is why I call them the Do Nothings. The downtown representative, Kevin Faulconer, likes to give speeches and photo ops. He does not respond to e-mails from constituents. And, rumor is, he wants to be Mayor.
What this City needs is a major overhaul of The Powers That Be. The City is broke and nothing changes. Also, get rid of CCDC. Bring that function back under the City umbrella. Lots to fix and a long way to go in a City that seems to be a magnet for political corruption.
So long
