Interesting Quotations

Quotations from Bartletts, with Auntsandiego's comments. If you want to know the identity of the author of the quote, you can look it up at:

"The grass is always greener on the other side". I am just hoping there is green grass at Petco and the 'ragtag team' plays better than expected.

"If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there". I oftentimes find myself standing someplace and wondering why!! This quote does not work if you travel by bus. You may not go anywhere!

"We are made to persist. That's how we find out who we are". This means I am definitely on the right track as I am most surely headstrong or, as one very dear friend puts it; feisty, with an eye on the goal.

"You don't get to control any outcome, only every choice you make along the way". Many situations call for making quick choices. Often they end up being the right ones for you.

"You miss 100% of the shots you never take". If you never take a chance, you will just keep running on that treadmill, with no accomplishments or fun that could be life changing events.

"Make your life a mission-not an intermission". This is important to every single person. Do things, don't sit on the sidelines of life. If you notice a problem, find out how to solve it. Then you have the chance to feel like you've hit a home run.

"You must first be who you truly are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want". Some folks just go along..which is fine if you know that is what you want. Many wait until they are 60 years old to step into something they always wanted to do & get the acknowledgement they knew was out there, somwhere.

"Who are we, not to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous". This is the way to live life. I would guess that very few people think like this. I was a s l o w learner, but now my thoughts & ideas are actually being read. It is a great feeling.

"You must learn from the mistakes of others. You cannot possibly live long enough to make them all yourself". This is just too fun not to include it. There are some who persist in making mistakes and then, one day, open their eyes to a whole new world. Go for it. You will make mistakes. Everyone does.

Are there influential people in your life? Use them to your advantage. Share wisdom. Friends are so very important. Remember them always and make the effort to keep them close at hand. It is a great experience to know you have people you can count on and that those people can count on you.
