Apparently, I failed to mention that I plan to picket at The Ivy Hotel, tomorrow, Sunday July 26th, about 9 AM. Just me and a couple of signs. I also have a printed synopsis of my efforts in dealing with management along with a page for comments. Anyone interested in this important issue regarding the Quality of Life in Downtown San Diego is invited to join me or at least stop by to add your 2 cents worth.
I am going to spend some time this afternoon trying to figure out how to operate my camera for video. I am also hoping that it is a slow news day and the local newscasters at least mention the issue. Maybe then 'Kelly Capital' will hear me out.
So, the other night I called The Ivy and asked about access to the rooftop entertainment. I was told there is still a $20 cover charge. What for? And, if the management is allowing dancing, that seems to be in direct violation of their current status and would require approval of a CUP for ...dancing, according to the letter from CCDC.
Last night the music volume was quite high. I called and was assured it would be turned down. That did not happen. The trumpeter was good, but I didn't want him in my apartment.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow.
