Baseball

Padres avoid losing 100 games by beating the Pirates last night. The last game is today. Then comes the baseball withdrawal month. It is still tough, even with a bad team. It's the game. And, the Angels are set. Wonder if winning their division so early will have effect on their play. OC fans should bring back the mantra: Yes We Can. It is still a race in the AL. If CWS & Twins both win, then Chicago has to play a make-up game at home against Detroit. If the teams remain tied, then CWS & Twins will have to play one game to determine the winner.

Phillies won the East. Mets & Brewers are in a dead heat. If they are still tied after the games today, there will be a play-off game at Shea on Monday. Angels will start their post season against the Red Sox. Tampa Bay has to wait until the Mets/Brewers games are over.

The Angels finish the season with the best record in baseball, a first for the Anaheim team. A win today would be 100, which has never been accomplished by the Angels franchise. Before today's game, they have a 20 game lead over the rest of their division. Someone I know thinks that is a MLB record. I will research that issue. GO ANGELS

I had dinner with a friend on Friday. We went to Kous Kous Moroccan Bistro. We were greeted by one of the friendly staff and were seated in a lovley cushioned & pillowed area. Again, the service was excellent, the food was prepared to our specifications and the presentation was lovely. The waiter was attentive. The really good news was that they actually pour wine from the bottle into the glass. None of this crappy measured pour trend. If you haven't been there yet, give it a try. It's is on 4th, between University & Washington, in the Hillcrest area.
