On retail food costs. I was studing day to day operations the at Ralphs downtown and it became clear why food costs seem to keep going up. I understand that inflation is a factor but seeing security was a point of overkill. There are security guards watching you as you come in watching you as you leave. There are cameras watching you all over the store and now there are cameras watching the bottom shelf of your cart or maybe up your dress. It remindes me of the times I went to a food store in Washinton D.C.. You could not even go into the store, you ordered the items from a revolving window and paid for them before they were given to you. We may see this in San Diego soon too.
