Update in Little Falls 10/2/2009

The weather has been all rain and cold the last few days. This is fall in it's glory. I can see ice storms coming any day now!. The trees are a pale cream green back ground and starting to look like the rust belt. The first frost was the other day. Things learned;
1. Don't forget Tangun's birthday ("opening of Heaven Day") on Oct 3. 2. Good story on the Taliban Mind games in newsweek Oct 5, 2009. 3.China's energy in the city of Jiuquan. a) Wind turbines with a capacity of 12.7 giga watts by 2015. b) Build 9.2 giga watts of coal-fored generating polants. c) Build six wind farms with total capacoty of 60 giga watts. With back-up of several new thermal power plants to prevent black outs. All this energy capacity is being developed by China greenteck Initiative, a group of 80, mostly large, Western companies and origanizations with environmental interests. Shi pengfei is vice president of the Chinese Wind power association. Ref: Star Tribune 10/2/09, page D5
