Up from a good nights sleep on 11/15/09 as it was my day off. At 8 AM I looked out the window after hearing geese flying in. There were about 75 Canadian geese in the Mississippi River. The frosty morning looking at the river and geese looked serene with the trees bare, the river with streams of glassy water between wavy streams of deep-blue and a sky-blue sky. The trees are leave-less and the grass is a orange-brown with a frost cover. The mood of the view is of San Diego with the lights out and people-less as on Christmass day morning down town that I experienced in the years working at the Sun Cafe. This was on the two days that we took off during the year. I looked again at the seen at about 4:30 PM and the geese were still there but now there are about 150 of them.
