Update Little Falls 12/28/2009

On Sunday morning a flock of about 100 Canadian geese were flying North along the Mississippi river. The river is open below the dam because the water flow is fast enough to prevent it from freezing. We had a good foot of snow, but the temperature has been staying in the 20s. There are a few mallards hanging around the open water below the dam. A crow was cawing when I went to church Sunday morning. The snow stopped when I left the 10:30 mass and we even had a sight of sunshine. In three days it will have been one year since the Sun Cafe closed. This will be a day of sadness every year of my life until the end. But "As the Sun Cafe goes on" the only thing I have left is my love and a future with Judy, her family and my family. This was the killing of an American Icon in American history in an American Historic District. This was as sad a day as 9/11 in New York to me because it destroyed our lives as a working loving small family business. We are the life blood of American buisiness. 1. Korea Electric Power co, with construction units of the Samsung and Hyundai business groups and with Westinghouse Electric co, a unit of Japans Toshiba corp, will build four nuclear reactors in the United Arab Emirates. Ref: The Wall Street Journal, 12/28/09 page B3 2. A good story on the English Euro-Star tunnel. Ref: Saturday Evening Post, 5/13/1950 page 28-72
