San Ysidro been a good place to learn basic Spanish and yet still I am a bit goofy within the dialog for the past 5 years. Ana, who ran Barcelo Recyling in 2009, seemed patient when I ask simple questions. YES: She seemed always able to assist in English whenever I ask; however, her society rotated in her business where everyone but me speaks Spanish. This is my intention: San Ysidro has a "Business Directory 2012" that I will start to venture through then post; because, I want to make sure that business treats me as well as did Ana. {First let me first say, right off, how I am NOT a "culture vulture".} La Bodguita Market on 4174 Beyer Blvd. (across from the last stop before the border) is the one grocery store that has always produced an outstanding venue for different genres of Mexican items, be them freshly cut meat, seafood, cheeses, as well as other types (cheeses etc.); and also, strongly placed are tortillas, breads, and different canned foods which manage to enhance. I must declare: The prices here at La Bodeguita Food Store, on Beyer Blvd. in San Ysidro keeps itself high functioning with low prices: Let me provide a small example. All other stores (from CVS to Vons) offer eye drops from $3.25 up; meanwhile, La Bodeguita sells the same type for $1.25 each, when it is in stock. Gator & Power Aide, Milk, fridge additions as well as different soft drinks tend to also stay in lower price ranges altogether. I compare this easily to how most large chain place shows only one item for sale to entice the seeker into a hugely overpriced store. I have only gone to CVS for medication; however, this store next to m¥ home is perfect. There is only one little problem: They at La Bodeguita speak little English; while,yo un pacito Espanol. I think we are aware enough to understand what is wanted; also, we seem to appreciate each other...
