Jessie's Girl Song Parody
Your parody is hilarious. Awesome. This whole thing is really only going to help Obama. It just further clarifies that Obama is his own man. This thing blowing up is finally making it all quite apparant that the days of Jackson (and Sharpton) are over. Those guys are old timers holding onto their old time gripes which they can't seem to move beyond. It's really becoming pathetic and now anyone who was not in the clear about this, is. The media needs to stop carrying those guys on their backs. They're nothing but an old, loud, overly aggressive, ignorant band of geezers who should no longer be playing the role as the current voice of Black America. Sure, at one time they did play an important part in black history. But because they're not able to progress and move with the time, they should only now be historical figures who's one time important roles and actions are read about. Jackson helped start the change but now it's time to keep moving forward, and unfortunaltey he's still stuck. Also, I read a short blurb with Jackson's son denouncing his fathers choices of words. I didn't know this but Jackson Jr. actually plays a big role in the Obama campaign. I wonder if he ever got yelled at for using words like "nutz" growing up. Everytime Obama see's Jackson he should have a "deez nutz" joke prepared, like so - "Hey Jackson, you want to see a bofa" - Obama "Uh, okay." - Jackson Obama grabs his crotch, then yells "bofa deeeeeezzzzz nuuuuuuutzzzz". He could also pull down his pants and say "see, they're still attached".— July 10, 2008 12:03 p.m.

Definition, Thug : hood: an aggressive and violent young criminal. If we go by definition, Phillips does fit this role, but Keil does not. Keil may have been an idiot when it came to certain decisions, but he wasn't violent. He sold and shipped codeine through the mail, trying to make back money he lost due to his big time gambeling habit. He got drunk, pissed outside of a nightclub on the street. He got shot while someone attempted to carjack him in Texas, but I don't see how that is his fault. Of course, he wasn't the smartest individual as far as figuring out what's best for himself, but to compare him to Lawrence Phillips is ridiculous. Phillips is a thug. He has had SEVERAL domestic violence charges brought against him by former girlfriends, starting in college. He drove his vehicle through a group of teenagers because he got pissed over a pick up game of football. He was dropped, from several teams all over the world, because of his poor attitude. He is someone who is known for not showing up to practice, arguing with the coach and leaving a team without even giving notice. Keil has nothing near this guys record. In fact, Kiel has NO RECORD when it comes to violent acts. You have no reason to compare the two. Again, as far as vice's and idiotic acts, he's more comparable to Jim Morrison then Lawrence Phillips. Phillips is effin insane. Keil's just a kid who couldn't control some very poor habits.— July 9, 2008 8:31 a.m.

I can't see the way you justify between Keil and Morrison's actions, but if it works in your head, then so be it. You have no clue what Morrison or Keil would have been like at the age of 50. Again, drove fast, had addictions, see no difference in the 2. As people yes, as far as actions, they seem to walk the same line, along with many others behind and in front of them.— July 8, 2008 1:34 p.m.

Regarding you "skating around the subject" as I put in post #11, I take that back. I didn't see your response in post #7, where you clarify a lot. The women I was referring to weren't just groupies these guys were dicks to. They were dicks to their mothers, their sisters, the "main woman" in their life. I mean, how great could Morrison and Pamela Cousens relationship been? Sure, it's her fault for being there. They were both junkies by the end, but is his (or hers) behavior excusable just because it didn't involve them going to a club and punching someone in the face? Kiel didn't punch someone in the face. Kiel pissed on a sidewalk and shipped codeine through the mail. Why is Morrison and him so different when it comes to judgement day? And even though Hendrixs or another persons first reaction wasn't to punch someone in the face, it may have been shoot a needle in their arm or shove powder up their nose, or down a bottle of hard liquor. Then there were plenty of rampages of smashing and whaling to follow after that. It's all harmful and insane behavior. You can't justify one if you're trying to put down another.— July 8, 2008 noon

And to clarify something, the only reason I'm picking on Morrison is because I've seen a post by you that The Doors are your favorite band. I just assume that if you saw someone with a "Kiel" jersey you'd be inclined to tell them what a loser he was. I'm also guessing that as a Doors fan you have a Morrison shirt and I'm trying to find where you're drawing the line with this. Morrison and Kiel, both 27, both died, both urinatied in public, both had addicion problems. Morrison was a dick to so many people in his life, especially in his later years, which effected those people greatly. I'm also going to guess he's driven while intoxicated and put people at risk in his intoxicated rampages.— July 8, 2008 11:50 a.m.

Michael Jackson has possibly done things to little boys which, is very "dangerous to other people". Miles Davis, beat his wives and probably other women in his life, he was a danger to other people. Jim Morrison more then likely almost killed plenty of people in his life by stumbeling around intoxicated and being so whacked out of his mind he didn't know what he was doing at the time. And again, he too, urinated in public. You're skating around the fact that so many of these mega stars live the same ridiculous lifestyle. Film, music, sports....it's all there.— July 8, 2008 11:34 a.m.

"Rock musicians. Very good point. I'm a fan of many. And, many of them, do the same types of things these athletes do. Yet I'm often knocking the athletes. I guess that's because drugs, often times, are victimless crimes (if they are just smoking pot or whatever they are doing). Athletes seem to go to clubs, and shoot people!!!" Really, how many athletes are going to clubs and shooting people? Is this a daily occurence I don't know about? Okay, well, we can see the point you're trying to get across with that , but to simply brush off the act of many, many musicians out there as "victimless crimes" while ranting and raving about sports stars and their abusive and manic behavior just doesn't seem quite add up. Sid Vicious, Miles Davis, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ike Turner, Michael Jackson...the lsit goes on and on of stars who have hurt other people much worse then just a few punches to the face. What many of them have done is far from victimless. I'm not here to judge any of them or their actions beyond my own opinion. I'm just curious how you justify being furious and fed up with one and completely passive about the other.— July 8, 2008 11:01 a.m.

I do wonder however, Josh, are you equal across the board when things like this happen. Do you feel society is better off and are you "glad" (for lack of better word) when people like Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon die? They did drugs. They all had something to do with distribution of drugs, ones much more harsh then what Keil was caught with. Morrison actually died at 27, like Keil and they both urinated in public (not together of course). Morrison was also a drunk, and treated himself, his family and his woman like crap towards the end. I'm guessing you own a few albums by some of those artists, and plenty of others ones who have been involved in things which do not benefit society, at all. Do you think about that each time you're listening to them. "I hate this scumbag Hendrix, but I can't resist the sweet, sweet poison of Purple Haze".— July 8, 2008 10:38 a.m.
