It’s Hard to Change Direction When You Are Falling Off A Cliff
I don't know Jerome, my wife and the fine ladies that have commented on my blog post seem to enjoy my '52. Lighten up man. I'm betting that there is something in your life that you are passionate about. When I started this blog it was with the purpose of documenting a journey. (thanks for reading it, btw). I just happen to really f-ing love old cars & trucks. They don't define me, though. My art, my photography, my family, my friends, my writing, my tattoos... and my cars are all at the top of the list. - Joe— February 17, 2011 1:50 p.m.

What's your take on the Tea Party?
Things that I'm unhappy about: - bloated government. - wasteful government. Things that scare me: - big business steering government. - the amount of men and money we are spending overseas. - the amount of money we are borrowing from China. - the "big picture" unemployment problem (outsourcing, education, etc). - the campaign of fear that has been spewing from talk radio and the internet for the last few years. We need changes in government. I don't know how to fix it... and the people that think they know how scare me. The Tea Party strikes me as just a bunch of pissed off people reacting poorly to the situation. They do seem to have a few good ideas, but the negatives really outweigh the positives. I wonder how history will be written on this one... - Joe— December 29, 2010 8:57 a.m.

Is life fair?
...And because it is not fair, Ben is employed. Barkeep! More Jack on ice! David. Re-read what you said. With that argument, Life is fair. Eventually everyone (every living thing) dies. That is the ultimate level playing field. The universe owes you nothing. For me.. Life is fair. You win, you lose, you die. You are on top of the world one day then the worlds toilet the next. In the grand scheme of things even politics are fair. Governments start with great intentions (or not) become (or start) corrupt and crumble from within. __________________________________ But at the end of the day... who gives a F. Just try for be fair in your personal dealings, work hard and stop bitching about your lot in life. - Joe— December 1, 2010 12:40 p.m.
