Rotten Service at the Post Office
It's not just the Post Office. It seems that half the places you go to have never heard of the 2 rules of buisness; #1,the customer is always right and #2, when the customer is wrong, refer to rule #1.— March 8, 2012 7:08 p.m.
Get Used to Unemployment
johnsd--Thanks for the references. Don--Don't forget that the Clinton administration were the ones who forced the banks to loan to minorities, who couldn't afford the loans. The whole thing has blown up in their proverbial faces. Callaway golf is moving to Mexico. I think that some companies should move there and employ Mexican labor to keep costs of illegal immigration down in this country. However, we really need to revise the tax policies for manufacturing, so that we can compete globally. Here is a strange irony. My mother's housekeeper is illegal, however she is married to a legal resident who recently got laid off from Callaway Golf. They bought a house in Escondido--the American dream--and now may lose it, because the company is moving to Mexico.— August 24, 2010 12:16 a.m.
Get Used to Unemployment
If I'm forced to choose between a Mormon and a moose killer in 2012, I'll vote for Obama all over again, and let what's left of the country go completely to Hell. It's the easiest way to die, as far as I am concerned. Palin's popularity is frightening. It's going to take a lot more than a cute pit bull joke and showing a little knee to save us. And I refuse to walk twenty steps behind a man, even if he is the president.— August 23, 2010 10:28 p.m.
Nightlife in the Rearview Mirror
I used to be a big fan of Linda Purl. I wonder what ever happened to her.— August 22, 2010 12:55 a.m.
What's the Meaning of Life?
Life is suffering.— August 21, 2010 4:29 p.m.
O.J. Obama and Dr. Laura--Different Rules Apply
Iam no fan of Dr. Laura, but I do know that she is very helpful to women who screw up their relationships. I recently looked through a copy of her book, "Ten Stupis Ways Women Screw up Their Lives." I could have used that kind of advice 30 years ago.— August 21, 2010 4:25 p.m.
Adam Lambert Tongue Diving, Megadeth Ego Driving, Weekly Hotsheet, more
Somebody really needs to enlighten Adam. He is such a talented guy, and to resort to this immature, attention-getting stuff is beneath him. I am always amazed by your beautiful work, Jay. I think I've seen it grow and get better and better throughout the years.— August 20, 2010 7:05 p.m.
O.J. Obama and Dr. Laura--Different Rules Apply
Well, I'll admit that what Dr. Laura said was in poor taste, but is she any less acceptable than Jeremiah Wright? I find it troublesome that the man leading our country found him acceptable enough to attend his services.— August 20, 2010 6:53 p.m.
The Crazy On The Corner: La Mesa
Interesting entry.— August 20, 2010 2:30 p.m.
Get Used to Unemployment
My husband was telling me that Obama is selling bonds to China, which is probably the worst choice he can make. We are already in trouble with our dependancy on the Middle East; I shudder to think what being dependent on China will do. As Johnsd said above, we are being lead to financial disaster.— August 20, 2010 1:04 a.m.
