Cate to Clairemont: Drop dead
Firefighter do not make 45k a year... what the hell is going on with California government in general. It seems like all of the job groups/types mentioned are labor union related... (duh!)— July 27, 2018 9:59 a.m.
Santee townsfolk want Dirty Chris dealt with
Is this a true story? LMAO!!! I would whoop that fools a@#. Things like this don't happen in Southside or Chula. Dude would get messed up. Crazy whites.— July 27, 2018 9:45 a.m.
San Diego State slick magazine touts Mission Valley plan
Great argument. However, it is based on the assumption of further technological integration into everyday life, when clearly, there is a developing movement to "disconnect" from the internet, etc.— May 3, 2018 9:18 a.m.
San Diego State slick magazine touts Mission Valley plan
I know literally no one in my family who even watches sports on TV anymore, let alone shell out $300+ to take a family to a Padre game. Have you all been paying attention to the Padres and Petco? The only reason it happened was due to the real estate transactions that benefited J. Moores. In order for progress to occur, there needs to be some sort of selfish motivation. Basically "TANSTAAFL". In addition, how, in a place with 335 days of sunshine, is a sport that is not one of the big 3, going to consume that much acreage of precious San Diego valley land? That makes no sense. What does make sense is to let SDSU develop further. The economic benefit of the expansion of UCSD still reverberates to this day. We should be trying to replicate this same structure with SDSU.— May 3, 2018 9:16 a.m.
"This is how it should be."
Great article. It would be neat to see The Reader do a full history of the park. A lot of white folks and especially all of these out-of-towners, do not understand the significance of such an event; which also lead to the first free clinic in Barrio Logan and host of other non-profits that sprang up from the Chicano movement. Orajle Carnal!— May 3, 2018 9:04 a.m.
The best minds of my generation destroyed by madness
DJ, as much as you claim to be a hipster, for you to not know the history behind The Beats is ironic... and kinda hipster. LOL.— May 3, 2018 8:56 a.m.
Sara Jacobs, 29, runs for Congress
At least she ain't a WASP. She will not get my vote. The 49th District is historically conservative. I would be very surprised if a liberal fascist won.— May 3, 2018 8:52 a.m.
