I agree with the headline of your post -- Arizona's law is illegal! But as for the rest of it, well...people of all races commit crime in this country. Singling out one particular race for extra enforcement, like the Arizona law does and like this blog entry does, is racist and pathetic. In 2010, in the United States of America, we can do better.

Thanks for the shout, nan! I'm glad you enjoyed this. The Ocean Beach farmer's market has live music every week. Add that to the fruits, veggies, and other foods, the arts and crafts, the OB shops, the OB people-watching, the usually sunny afternoons, and the usually gorgeous sunsets, and you should definitely make it down there sometime. PS: nice bicep!

Taxpayers Absorb Cost of Highly Paid Players

When it comes to the Padres, looks like Chris Young ($6.75 million) and first baseman Adrian Gonzalez ($4.75 million) will be the most substantial benefactors of San Diego taxpayer generosity in 2010. I can deal with that...those guys are all right. But in the 3 spot is Jon Garland ($4.7 million). If he's going to march into town and start feeding at the trough, he'd better start earning his Diego bucks.
