Moores Abruptly Resigns UC Regent Post
Moores did a lot of damage since his appointment in 1999, proving he never should have been appointed in the first place, but that has been the case for the entire board of regents for decades. In Moores case he was just another example of the failures in leadership by Gray Davis. Moores leaves UC far worse off than he found it when it was already in a continuous state of decline and failure to achieve the needs of California and Humanity. However, over the last half century all California colleges have become a prime source of apathy that dominates the electorate and allows the corrupt and the incompetent throughout the political spectrum such as Moores, Dynes, Davis, and the U-T Establishment to achieve their own lusts for power and money regardless of consequences. But the problems go far beyond California, this era of decline in American Democracy is far from over unless congress rejects their incompetent and corrupt cultural values and reinstates their constitutional powers to truly carry out the will of the people at last. One can only wonder if that is possible as long as the culture of apathy dominates the electorate. In the meantime, the Reader generation must fight back to save their own future. City Employees Paid $8.2 Million Above IRS Limits
Odd, isn't it... all those high paid executives with the City AND our former City Attorney lined their pockets quite deeply. In other words, those who were controlling the City are getting paid. While those who worked for taxpayers, you know, the line level workers, are really earning modest pensions for their years of service.— November 11, 2007 8:24 p.m.
Reality Killed the Video Star
Video killed the homely rock star... Video made the Madonna's looks, and Michael Jacksons dancing popular, but eliminated talent that could write, play and sing, but looked like Meat Loaf or Mamma Cass. Video ushered in the era of Britney Spears as star, with hot looks, but bad character. Many hip hop and rap artists too may be cool, but off stage are just punks.— November 11, 2007 4:55 p.m.
Copley's Pulitzer Winner Leaving, Say Reliable Sources
Nevertheless Don, the Reader generation is the demographic that must be focused to wake up and make the right things happen for their own future because too many apathetic generations preceded them. The consequence is that the younger generation is screwed worse than any since WWII by out of control current events dominated by corrupt and incompetent politicians and bureaucrats at all levels of government, oil war deficits, corporations that export jobs and eliminate middle class opportunities as fast as they can, Fed screw-ups, criminal lending practices, conspicuous consumption as usual, and Wall Street doing what it always does, etc. Anon92107— November 11, 2007 12:37 p.m.

Don, I know The Reader does the best you can to make the right things happen by exposing the truth about the cultures of corruption and ineptitude that dominates both political parties. Your investigative reporting deserves a Pulitzer Prize more than anyone at the U-T and L.A. Times. The fact is that if a true leader like Thomas Jefferson published another Declaration of Independence to challenge our institutions to actions to restore American Democracy today, not enough Americans would take it seriously enough to demand actions to make the right things happen, so congress still hasn’t carried out the will of the people expressed in the last congressional election. The proof of our political decline and fall is that none of the republican and democratic candidates for president today is a true leader in a congress that is our worst failure in democracy since the Civil War. Meanwhile, the consequences of political corruption and ineptitude have created threats to our economic and social systems that threaten what is left of our democracy more than ever before. That’s why grass roots publications like The Reader must fill the void of integrity in the Fourth Estate today. Anon92107— November 11, 2007 4:16 a.m.

I found this about David Bendah, a BBB warning... http://www.thelocalbbb.com/alerts/alerts.html?new… Then I found a partial story about a raid on a Google seacrh. I can't find it today. I wonder if it could have been an old press release? Anyway, if the BBB is on to him, the Feds can't be far behind... Keep up the good work!— November 10, 2007 5:06 p.m.

Don, all I know is there is a rumor of a raid at David Bendah's 8th Street office in National City. David Fast, the local Postal Inspector may know more about the details.— November 9, 2007 6:27 p.m.
