Ashford University to close its doors
Ashford University seems like a flim flam operation to me. I am beginning to question viability of for profit colleges. The problem is that there is so much capital and infrastructure costs involved. Perhaps there is some combination that works, but not for profit colleges seem best at least for now.— July 15, 2015 10:11 p.m.
You wish we'd shut up, Peevey
The whole San Onfre affair was rigged by Edison/Sempra and Peevey. Personally i hope Feds go after Peevey and the others with a RICO suit.— July 9, 2015 11:26 p.m.
Child beggars of Point Loma
I think one is better off donating directly to a charity like Father Joe's or the Salvation Army. Most of the beggars I see do not seem all that bad off. I see this one guy with his dog by the Seaworld /I-8 exit. Why is this guy begging when he owns a dog......?— July 9, 2015 11:08 p.m.
Tijuana doesn’t want another 2008
The crime has also been increasing in the Zona Norte recently as well. The Zona has had more crime over the years. But there is also a lot of cops there. This is why I am a bit more surprised. I am also wondering why Americans have been attacked by the gangs. This simply stirs up more anger and the police will crack down even more which is a good thing. There was a shooting in the Zona Norte and 3 people were shot. "Tijuana, Baja California. The body of a man was found inside a car trunk of a vehicle this Tuesday in the Zona Norte. Around 12:45 AM this Tuesday there was a report of a black sedan with California license plates abandoned in a parking space of an OX XO at callejon Coahuila in the Zona Norte. The Municipal police saw traces of blood on the car, so when they searched it, they found the dead body of a man with a knife in his chest and a message poster." http://frontera.info/EdicionEnLinea/Notas/Policia…— June 19, 2015 7:38 a.m.
This underbelly isn't pork
I agree since the industry hires a lot of illegals there is more temptation to cheat employees. The govt does need to do more to get rid of undocumented workers at these businesses however.— June 19, 2015 6:40 a.m.
What about that Spanos money?
Why would the NFL want 2 teams in LA if they are unwilling to expand the league— January 19, 2015 7:34 a.m.
San Diego could thrive from pain
Some of the second or third tier shopping centers will have problems. But Walmart & Target are looking for locations to locate stores.— December 21, 2014 10:01 a.m.
Hope for the little people
Thank god we have Michael Aguirre to fight the PUC :)— September 1, 2014 8:58 a.m.
Shames lawsuit thrown out
Watch Michael Aguirre put the screws to UCAN. This is most insightful how insidious government bureaucracy is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG0nGVdzo8g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pixmr0VJqSw— August 18, 2014 1:23 a.m.
New police trailer rolls into O.B. Pier parking lot
I agree almost never see the police go into the trailer. They only seem to use it for storing things and writing reports.— April 13, 2014 10:13 a.m.
