“Ghetto” is not an adjective
Andreas pointed out correctly that people's perceptions of "the ghetto" come from reality, not "mostly imagined on pixelated screens or glanced through car windows at high speeds". The author himself admits "I can walk down 25th and see a teenager with a shiny silver gun in his hand in broad daylight". It's a normal impulse to want to be proud of what you consider home, but it's not in your best interest to be in denial about the reality. The fact is, every neighborhood, every city, is the product of the people who live there. So while there are good people in "the ghetto", there are a lot fewer bad people on "some stale street north of (t)here".— December 22, 2009 1:50 a.m.
Auschwitz and Abbey Road Have Something in Common
Hopefully the idiot that did this will show it to someone with better judgement, and the sign will be returned or the guy will be turned in.— December 20, 2009 12:01 a.m.
Oxy on the Rise
Diego, my advice to you is don't trust your own judgement. This statement "Organic is always better than synthetic" brands you an idiot. Your brain doesn't work well. Maybe you damaged it with the meth. Maybe it never worked well. But don't trust it.— December 19, 2009 11:57 p.m.
Doomed Because It's So Damn Easy
Most people are idiots, and deevolution is like a snowball rolling downhill, picking up speed as it goes, so if technology can help the idiots act a little smarter, I'm all for it. The cashier at McDonalds needing only to push the button with the cheeseburger, instead of having to ring something up, gets me my burger faster and cheaper.— December 19, 2009 11:47 p.m.
Day at the DMV (and dumb NFL players)
It sounds like defenses are worth too much in your league. You guys should decrease their point value. Who wants to win or lose based on what your defense did?— December 19, 2009 1:56 p.m.
New World Disorder
At least his was a quick little nugget. I have to read through yours to figure out if it was worth my time. So lighten up, either in attitude or length. Your choice. (Sound of toilet flushing)— December 19, 2009 1:51 p.m.
Distrackted
I'm with you. Any pedestrian who's so oblivious they can't avoid a train is too stupid to live.— December 19, 2009 1:32 p.m.
Oxy on the Rise
Heroine can be an opiate if the castings right-say Halle Berry.— December 19, 2009 2:20 a.m.
A Dumb Person Going Rogue in Hawaii
The Republicans didn't learn anything from the Dan Quayle experience, so they found a female version. Or maybe they did learn something-that America is full of idiots.— December 19, 2009 2:04 a.m.
Day at the DMV (and dumb NFL players)
If you haven't paid the parking ticket yet, I'm guessing if you go down there, or send copies of everything in the mail to them, depending on how they do it, you probably won't have to pay the ticket. It's worth a shot.— December 18, 2009 12:28 a.m.
