Turkey Day
Yeah I was afraid you guys wouldn't get it. It's not worth ezplaining.— November 28, 2009 12:44 p.m.
Scorpio's BLACK FRIDAY education
Ms Grant what showing did you go to? I was at the 1:50. Were you the older lady that talked too loud?— November 28, 2009 12:32 p.m.
At the Movies (long film titles, to go with all the long lines you'll see this weekend)
People's tastes are all over the map. You can tell one person likes comedies and another likes romantic stuff. What's funny is how you start reading down someone's list going "Yeah, yeah, yeah, WHAT!?" Personal taste (shrug).— November 28, 2009 12:25 p.m.
San Diego Coalition of Reason
The thread that wouldn't die......— November 27, 2009 7:53 a.m.
Turkey Day
SD this line "I feel that an important way to show caring is to be concerned with the comfort of others" made me think of a Seinfeld moment. I won't get the exact words, but the gist was, George is talking to Jerry, and tells him that he can sense the suffering of others. Jerry then asks him "You sensing anything right now?" You're George in this scenario.— November 27, 2009 7:37 a.m.
Turkey Day
Refried, I didn't get why you were so insulted by the "small turkey meant only for you". It seems like they were making an effort to make you feel welcome, to accomodate your preferences. Am I misinterpreting?— November 26, 2009 2:49 a.m.
The Blood Blog -- The Chargers Blood Drive
That experience with the needle sounds like torture. My arm aches just thinking about it. And who's Jill Scott?— November 26, 2009 2:42 a.m.
San Diego Coalition of Reason
That was a good movie, but did you notice that, according to the metaphor in play, what gives life color is sex. Married people cheating on their husbands. Teenagers getting busy. That's when things get colorful. I'm as much a fan of sex as the next guy, but there is more to life. Kind of a flaw.— November 26, 2009 2:17 a.m.
Taking a Stand by Refusing to Stand
"Shower" was lame and boring. I guess I should be saying this over in the movie section. Oh well.— November 26, 2009 1:35 a.m.
The Breakfast Club
Ironic that you object to this film being called unrealistic, but you thought "Dazed and Confused" was unrealistic, and got called out on that. Perhaps the philosophers are right, and reality is relative.— November 26, 2009 1:28 a.m.
