My stash! Weed is also grown in Baja. Be careful if you investigate this, they are not very friendly. "The Tijuana" is currently under the control of the Sinaloa Cartel, they won't hang your head on a spike to make their point. They'll hire someone else to do that. But you're going to see more weed grown toward the border in the future, logistics demand that. I don't smoke the stuff these days, ever since I had kids I thought it might not be a good example to set. But a lot of people in the U.S. sure do. And a lot of that stuff is grown right here. Logistics.

La Fuente After a Year of Infamy

At the time, I ran the grill portion of the Perico, and I saw that brawl there happen live. I've seen a few bar fights in my life (some from a closer angle than I would care to admit), but those 'gals' were vicious. I found myself carrying around pounds more respect for their capabilities after that. The La Fuente bar was a little more than a block West of Revo, 6th Street, South side. Closed years ago. The history goes back a long way, Paco wound up with it after he traded his brother the "Venus Bar" (Madero, up toward 3rd Street). Paco got the short stick on that trade, the Venus bar is still thriving last time I checked. No one had cell phones back then, I wish we did, that fight was epic.

Well now THIS is sudden. Biggest tranny brawl I ever saw was in the Nuevo Perico, just down the street from a bar that was, coincidentally, named La Fuente (in Tijuana, not Hillcrest). It was awesome. Not just hair pulling and clothes-ripping, these "gals" just kicked each other's asses. I'd love to talk to you some time about this. But let's leave the horribly-painted chairs behind. Even the Perico didn't do that.
