Top 10 Overrated Movies
I don't remember "Friday" receiving all that much publicity to be overrated? Maybe it's just me. I thought it had more of a cult following like "Clerks". But the second "Friday" Movie stunk....and don't forget the more recent overrated movies that received a ton of pub, but the movies themselves stunk - "Jumper", "I am Legend" and "Lions for Lambs"....just to name a few...— September 3, 2008 8:39 a.m.
Fantasy Football - Rockport Running Rebels Rule!
Ah yes, the art of Fantasy Football. Quite the devotion, however, 20 years is impressive! How many of those have you won or finished in last? :-)— September 2, 2008 11:33 a.m.
Gotta Keep 'em Decorated
You should cook more at home.... :-) I know....everyone has a smart a** comment....but, it does make you think about restaurants and what they have on their walls. My wife and I took the two hour train to Amsterdam last weekend. Guess what they had on their walls in most of the restaurants? Yupper, you guessed it....pesky vegetation of the legal variety.— January 16, 2008 3:02 a.m.
Praying in Jail
Prisons are overcrowded b/c they're being coddled. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they have it easy in prison, but they are there for a reason and it shouldn't be 3 squares a day with a roof over your head. I just read that there are less than 60k people in prison in the UK. That's 1% of the population. I'd hate to see the ration in the U.S. I think the noose is a good idea.... ;-)— January 16, 2008 2:57 a.m.
A Giant Day of Football
I think towelheadedcameljockey should be put on a word limit....JUST KIDDING!! :-) But I also think its easier to walk away from an argument than talk more trash. We'll see how it goes in New England....Go Bolts!— January 16, 2008 2:52 a.m.
Tiger Tales Two -- The golfer this time
Being a golf fan, and if you saw Kelly Tilghman, or watched her broadcast before, you'd know that it was completely out of context and on air character. That doesn't excuse her comments, and I think firing her would be too tough a punishment. She apologized publicly to the viewers and personally to Tiger, whom she's known for the past 12 years. However, I do agree that 2 weeks is too short, and who has "lynch" in their vocabulary is an awfully good question....obviously it could have been worse, but she also could have chose her words better.. :-)— January 16, 2008 2:38 a.m.
Top 10 Movies This Year
Lions for Lambs was overrated, but I thought it made you think about a lot of issues within its very short 75 minutes of running time. Cruise actually played a character in which you could believe in. Meryl Streep was looking old, same with "Bob" Redford....but both played their roles well. I also liked The Kingdom....unfortunately, I haven't seen any of your 10...but maybe I'll download them and watch them... :-)— January 9, 2008 4:13 a.m.
Two Out Bottom of the 9th
I'm not saying Clemens did or did not take steroids, but his arguments continue to dig him a deeper hole than he's already in. And I agree, King is a wuss about asking the tough questions....the hardest thing to believe is the roids for a pitcher. I can see it with batters, making them stronger to hit the ball farther, but pitching? He's always thrown the ball hard....maybe it just helps him do it longer since he's getting older....— January 9, 2008 4:07 a.m.
Brandy, You're a Fine, uh, Driver.
Trust me when I say this...knowing how you don't travel...it's not just the good 'ol USA...I moved out and I'm finding some of the same things happening here...must just be human nature? But..HAPPY NEW YEAR!! :-) (former MMHS alum)— December 30, 2007 10:06 a.m.
Fast Food Commercials
You know that guy who did the Supersize Me movie? He and most of obese America should do a month without a car. Walk, bike, run, whatever....see what that does to your health. Maybe then it won't be so bad when they no longer carry your Whopper... :-)— December 28, 2007 6:13 a.m.
