Jewlery Heists and Transporting Valuables
I'll bet the insurance company thinks it was an inside job...like someone tipped of the guys who robbed him...like a bad movie or something! Never been stung by a bee...spider bites...those suck...and I always thought I was smart enough never to work directly with a girlfriend...I've seen them end badly and then it gets awkward at work...but a quickie in the cooler can't be that bad, right?— November 22, 2009 4:16 a.m.
The Biggest Loser. Is it Shawne Merriman, Levi, or Palin?
Thanks KarenBP! :-)— November 21, 2009 1:26 a.m.
The Biggest Loser. Is it Shawne Merriman, Levi, or Palin?
Sorry, have always hated reality TV, whether it is here to stay or not, I will not watch it. Never watched an episode of American Idol, Survivor, etc...none of them...and it gets easier as I live here in Europe and none of those shows are shown! :-) Plain and simple, Palin is an idiot. If she is elected Pres, everyone should run for the hills. Sorry RobertScorpio for your thoughts, but Reagan was not deemed a "nut job" by the public. Did he hurt Ford's chances of election in 1976? Absolutely...just like Ross Perot hurt GHW Bush in 1992. But what can you do? Reagan was a former Gov., like Palin. But he was not insane about his post political life like she currently is. Just my opinion. There will be a lot of shake-up before the 2012 elections, and Europe will be watching...like me since I don't live in the States. Maybe I don't get the full picture, but I believe I do, and she's just not what the GOP wants...and won't be when the time comes to select a GOP candidate...— November 20, 2009 3:49 p.m.
The Biggest Loser. Is it Shawne Merriman, Levi, or Palin?
A little more history, Mr RobertScorpio....it was Ford who pardoned Nixon, not Carter. And Ford was House Minority leader who was confirmed to be VP when Agnew resigned, and then Pres when Nixon resigned, making him the first Pres never to be elected through national polls. His pardoning of Nixon was controversial, as well as the pullout of Vietnam in 1975. Now, I'm the same age as Josh, and I was alive during this time, but not old enough to make a voting difference. However, I believe that Carter won not because Reagan was a distraction to the GOP and ruined Ford's chances of election (notice I did not say re-election since he was never elected the first time), but because of the turbulant times durin that time frame and the public was just tired of Ford. IMHO, if the Democrats had a stronger candidate than Kerry in 2004, Bush would not have been re-elected, based again on the growing public turmoil with Bush and the war in Afghanistan. Similar comparisons, but not the same, of course. I agree with Josh in that Palin is an idiot. I also think that 2012 is enough time for the GOP to find another candidate. Palin has no cred with the public. If she was smart, she would have parlayed her AK Governorship to a Senate or House seat to grow her political career. Instead, she quit...and personally, speaking as a registered GOP voter, cannot be placed in any position of power.— November 20, 2009 2:10 a.m.

Prime example of that, Josh, is Ladanian Tomlinson....the man's a pro...every time he scores, he just hands the ball back to the ref and heads to the sidelines...like he's been there before. And it's not just restricted to the offense...the same goes for defenders like defensive lineman when they sack the QB and go into some dance or routine. I mean c'mon, isn't that your job? Isn't that what you get paid to do? Oh, and KarenBP, I miss Morganna and MLB doen't have a sense of humor anymore. Have you seen Bud Selig's face? Does that look like a man with a sense of humor? :-)— November 18, 2009 11:26 p.m.

Okay, so I was laughing through the entire post....well done...salt and pepper shakers...clever! I also DID do the math...300/24 = 12.5/hr...I think that's pretty hard to believe...maybe she needs to learn to butter her own muffin? Bad pun, I know, but I couldn't resist....— November 18, 2009 2:25 a.m.

And the debate goes on....from #21 "#18. Redfox fan. My views are widely accepted among black people. Next time Al Sharpton is in town, or Jessie Jackson, I invite you and Josh, and refriedgringo, to come down there and tell them that there is no racsim in the news. You tell them that famous black people who do the same stupid things as famous white people are not unfairly remembered for their acts. We come from different sides of the sidewalk." Make sure you send 'ol Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to Europe b/c I don't live in the States. And I'm a "mutt" when it comes to race, like most Americans - I'm half Asian too....and when the hell did I say there was no racism in the news? Get your facts straight before accusing someone...and if you actually read my post, you'd see that I commented on Josh's actual blog story...not race, or how someone will be remembered...seriously, if you're going to blog, get your crap together and get the facts straight...— November 18, 2009 12:52 a.m.

Rino, your an idiot and you're going to drive away the people who actually read this blog with your hatred. GROW UP!! Sorry Josh, but Rino is killing your blog....I'm out...— November 17, 2009 8:29 a.m.
Hangin' on the Telephone
Can we all just ignore Rino and his comments? Ever think he's just doing/writing these things to incite all of us? Black/White/Brown/Green/Yellow....who cares??? How does any of that relate to Josh's blog post? Let's refrain from the race thing...this isn't the forum for that. If that's what Rino wants, then I'm sure there are tons of other forums online just for those arguments...Agree?— November 17, 2009 5:30 a.m.

Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely agree that what Michael Vick did to land himself in prison was horrible...but how long should he pay for it? Mike Tyson was able to fight again after his rape conviction and prison term...how about those who pled guilty to possession of illegal drugs, like Tim Lincecum (SF Giants pitcher) did with marijuana? Should he continue to be on the field as well? Andre Agassi recently revealed that he took drugs during his tennis career...should we now label him as a drug user? Cheater? Or someone who used but just didn't get caught? Where does it end? I mean do you think Vick is sorry for what he did, or sorry that he got caught? Okay, maybe not a fair question...but he did get caught, was found guilty, did a prison sentence...can't he just get on with his life? I'm just not sure an athletes mistakes should be their "claim to fame" or how they should be remembered. I won't remember Agassi that way, and the first recollection I have of Vick was his days at Va Tech being the stud QB that he was...the dog fighting should be a heavy tarnish on his résumé...not his legacy...— November 17, 2009 5:02 a.m.
