At the Movies
As I know that you're a believer in the Lone Gunman theory for JFK, I don't think I can even have an argument about that movie with you. I'm sure that's fodder for another day...I'm not saying the movie was entirely accurate, but a lot was taken or based on books written at the time and by Jim Garrison himself. Obviously the thousands of studies that have been done since 1963 have made the subject well known. But I always watch that movie and think "what if"? As a fellow "Seinfeld" fan, remember the episode of why Kramer and Newman hated then Met Keith Hernandez? Because they thought he spat at them when it turned out it was Roger McDowell who did the spitting from the gravely road? What clue gave that away? The spatter from Kramer's head...back...and to the left...and how weird was it that Newman was in JFK too? What I'm trying to say it real or not, movies are for entertainment. Take them for face value and don't read too much into it. Why did so many people see "Titanic"? Everyone knew the boat sank at the end, but people went for the fictional love story interspersed with real history. Ring any bells?— December 18, 2009 12:28 a.m.
At the Movies
I guess I am one of those movie goers who thinks that movies are there for my entertainment. As far as reality, or what is supposed to be portrayed as reality, I really just don't give a crap. I paid money to be entertained.... Just like last night I saw "Avatar" at the theater. Before you say how the hell did I see that movie, it was released on 16 Dec here in Brussels. It was an okay movie...not the best, but I appreciated the CG and the movie itself. Now, would I have needed to serve in the military to understand the tactics that were employed? I don't think so since I just don't give a crap...wait...I just said that...— December 17, 2009 9:26 a.m.
Lugging Luggage Not Hard for This Thief
I don't miss "junk" mail...here, all you have to is put a sign on your mailbox that says "Pas de Publicité, S.V.P."...which means "no ads, please"....and you never get junk mail...have to admit, I kinda like it that way...oh, and mail is only delivered 5 days a week...— December 16, 2009 3:56 a.m.
A City Under Television Skies
Well, Josh, it is Louisiana....I mean, its not Texas where anything is pretty much legal with a gun, but since its not too far away, maybe the laws extend a little bit. Also, maybe some of the shooters were his neighbors and that's why no one called the cops...Maybe that guy should have specified the spread on the Saints/Skins game....I think it was 14 and the Saints won by 3....would have saved his TV...— December 15, 2009 12:35 a.m.
Everybody's Got Something to Hide (especially me and my monkey meat)
Yeah, I hate it when my roommate has too many friends or family over.....WTF?!?! Really? Geez, what is this world coming to.... OJ? Yeah, definitely is capable of doing the deed. For one, the guy plays or played a lot of golf. Having played for a number of years myself, it takes strength in the hands and wrists to hold, control, and derive power into a golf swing....arthritis my arse...— December 15, 2009 12:30 a.m.
Everybody's Got Something to Hide (especially me and my monkey meat)
But how did the 98 yr old kill the 100 yr old, and why did she do it?— December 14, 2009 3:57 a.m.
911, What's Your Emergency?
It may have been anti climactic, but at least you called it in. Most people would have just kept driving, or like the other couple discussing whether or not to call 911. I've only dialed in a few times myself, but was never charged for it on my cell bill. Are you sure its not just the 911 Tax that all carriers charge? From when I worked for Sprint, that's what I remember...also, ANY phone has the ability to dial 911...whether there is a subscription on the phone or not. Living now in Europe, I wonder if I get into an emergency situtation like that if I will instinctively dial 911, which is incorrect, or 112 which is correct? I guess time will only tell...— December 11, 2009 2:30 a.m.

The Biggest Loser Blog
True Josh, I believe that there is always a reason - whether it be biological or genetic - that can supercede all other determining factors to why a person may be prone to weight gain. I don't hate overweight people. I'm just saying that in most cases, weight gain is just as much a chore as weight loss or stability. There's no pills that will wipe away the weight...why else does "The Biggest Loser" hire trainers and dieticians? Because that is the safest way to lose weight....good 'ol diet and exercise. This still doesn't change my opinion of reality shows... :-) Maybe there are a ton (pun intended) of overweight television writers sitting on their collective asses suffering from huge cases of sedentary hemmoroids....I think they call that writer's block? No wonder there is so much crap...er, uh...so many reality shows on TV....— December 9, 2009 2:20 p.m.
Rain, Rain, Go Away...
PistolPete, I didn't say that everything on Wiki was false, my point is that since Wiki is an open source, and it is difficult to rely on it every single time. It works great for some, but not for all. As far as Edison, to me like everything else on Wiki, I would go to another source (interpret this as more credible) to VERIFY that Wiki was either right, wrong, or partially correct. See what I mean? I'm not completely downing Wiki....I'm just saying I wouldn't use it as a source. :-) In other words, if I do a Google search, I avoid the Wiki entry like the plague...— December 9, 2009 2:14 p.m.
