Confection Sugar--A Poem
I understand. The idealized man. I have an idealized woman: she's a bit of the women I've dated, a bit of my ex-wife, she's a bit of whatever woman in the media happens to catch my attention on any given day, and probably, to some extent, she's even a tiny bit of my mother. Sometimes she's a smokey redheaded vixen, sometime a nurturing blonde wearing glasses, and sometimes a loud, funloving brunette. And although she changes physically and emotionally at the drop of a hat, in my mind her precense remains the same in one enduring way--she's always perfect.— October 3, 2011 7:02 p.m.
