Mojo--A Poem
When I was a kid, living in the virtual wilderness of Black Canyon near Ramona, I used to wish I were a coyote while I lay in bed at night and heard them howling and running wild in the shadowed foothills; years later, I wished for the Mojo of Oneness.— December 18, 2011 2:39 p.m.
Ode to Eyes Wide Open
Life is so complex--and short. On those rare occasions when I wish it would just all be over, so that I can get on with whatever business comes afterward (if there if an afterward), I soon realize that when it IS over, and if I'm able, I'm going to miss everything about life: the joys, the miseries, the achievements, the failures ... and the details ... all the lovely details.— December 18, 2011 2:17 p.m.
Christmas without Terry
Terry sounds like a good man. It's so unfortunate that we all must eventually leave the gilded cage.— December 11, 2011 10:32 p.m.
When to Decorate the Tree
Yeah, Marko, bless you; you made a difference ... I wish there were really a Cicely, Alaska....— December 11, 2011 10:22 p.m.
Sword--A Poem
Sweet and passionate.— December 9, 2011 8:46 p.m.
Circling Hawk--A Poem

If I remember correctly, nan they were LIVE turkeys. And afterward, Mr. Carlson uttered contritely, "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."— November 23, 2011 10:52 a.m.

" ... the Greatest Nation on Earth." Our country is so awesome, sometimes it just makes me want to cry ... but I'm a guy, so I won't. Thanks for the clip, nan, very inspiring. Have a great Thanksgiving. If you ever get the chance, watch "The Munsters," Thanksgiving episode. Herman goes on a diet on Turkey Day. He has Gran'pa lock him in the dungeon basement clamped down on the lab table. Herman can't take it, and breaks free. He walks down suburban streets with his arms outstretched like Frankenstein's monster, on a quest for Thanksgiving dinner. It's hilarious.— November 22, 2011 1:08 p.m.
Santa Catalina, the Isle in the Mist: Following the Footsteps of a Forgotten Poetess
Thanx for the pictures, Roody; I forgot how pretty the Island is.— November 22, 2011 12:46 p.m.
