I took this photo on a trip to Palm Springs in October. It's in the sculpture garden at a branch of the Palm Springs Art Museum called The Galen, in nearby Palm Desert.
The work is called "Walks Among the Stars," 2006, by Dave McGary. It depicts a 19th Century Lakota woman wearing an heirloom star quilt.
