Councilman Fred (Verne) (Rubber Stamp Man) McLean fufills one of his campaign promises. To get restrooms on South Seacoast Drive where he lives. Seen here getting a little quality time away from the wife and utilizing the state of the art mobile restroom facility purchased with $850,000 worth of grant money from the city and the port!
McLean also fufilled his other campaign promise to his neighbors. To make it a $100 fine to feed birds at the beach. The city council enacted the ordinance last year creating more endangered birds and an absolute ton of revenue for the city in fines ! Between the no smoking on the beach, no drinking on the beach, and just recently no dogs on the north doggy beach, and unsuspecting tourists eating lunch by the pier or beach can be fined again!
McLean's policy is to provide revenue while keeping a "business unfriendly policy" so that Imperial Beach stays as quiet as a ghost town.
