And the score is...
tonight i had the pleasure of trying to navigate between aero and friars about an hour before the chargers game - what the hell was i thinking? saw two cars go into a left turn, sharing the same lane! was waiting for the grinding of door on door!— September 4, 2009 11:54 p.m.
And the score is...
last night i saw a new one: the incredible 'left turn on red'. coming out of the ikea parking lot in mission valley, turning onto friars road. i was sitting there at the light thinking "he's not really going to...is he?" and away he went! crossed the east and west bound lanes of through traffic and off he went!— September 3, 2009 12:13 p.m.

josh, just had a thought - has anyone contacted SDPD to get their take on the event? they are out there, but what is the official opinion of the event / attendees? might just have to contact them and see if i can get a view of it from their eyes. fair enough? so far it seems to be "us vs them", lemme see if i can't get a third opinion...— September 2, 2009 8:24 a.m.
critical mass - villians or just people?
1. didn't get a ticket, just the speech. 2. this seems to be one of those arguments that will never be settled - like politics or religion, it's a matter of "your opinion versus mine". i will still gather with my fellow riders and i will still take to the streets, helmet strapped up, lights on, and i will still have a damn good time. just like 90% of the people who go out on a friday night with friends. there will be some that are jack-asses, but the group as a whole isn't. just as 90% of the people at croce's bar in the gaslamp are good people and 10% are not. 3. next time you start chucking rocks into the masses, remember that there are some good people in the group - and i hope you never have a critical injury, unlike your wishes on my fellow riders. come on...serious?— September 2, 2009 7:56 a.m.
critical mass - villians or just people?
whats ridiculous and dangerous are the car drivers out there without insurance, without a care in the world, except to listen to the latest itunes download or twitter while they are driving! i don't enjoy being ridiculous and dangerous, i enjoy riding my bike, be it on the way to work or at the velodrome or through mission trails park.— September 1, 2009 3:53 p.m.
critical mass - villians or just people?
so the passenger in the car with the driver on the cell phone is guilty too? or is every biker guilty because of the one? omg...i better not be on the same side of the street as someone who does something wrong so that i don't get in trouble too!— September 1, 2009 3:34 p.m.
critical mass - villians or just people?
for every person that harasses a car in the rides, there are 4 that are along just because we get a chance to do something out of the ordinary. just as for every four car drivers out there who check the mirror before rolling, there is one who stomps the gas without a second thought. sorry for the harassment of the g/f, not all people out there are asses, i promise.— September 1, 2009 3:14 p.m.
critical mass - villians or just people?
don't get me wrong, i know the laws. and i'm pretty sure they cover cell phones while driving and using earphones in both ears as well. true statement? was i wrong? sure i was, and i accept that, that's not the problem. the problem is that with all the other violators out there, why take the easy target? i've fixed myself, back on the right side of the road, looking both ways, all that pure-and-good-and-right stuff. now, how about everyone else? any chance sdpd can leave the shade trees and get them too? as for the critical mass, odd that nobody mentions the guy throwing the rocks at the riders? anyone care to get on him, or is this another chance to target the easy ones?— September 1, 2009 2:48 p.m.

hey josh, i was at the critical mass...got a AA battery ready for you next time. i have to put up with car drivers every day when i ride through downtown, you fools can wait for us every so often!— September 1, 2009 10 a.m.
