Un-Boll-Weevil-ble
Growing up in Point Loma we were surrounded by Boll Weevil's. There was one in OB, Midway and Shelter Island and it was the "go-to" family dinner place. We ate there after family events, birthdays, graduations and every OB Xmas parade. I frequented the one up in Kearney Mesa until it recently closed. Sad, but things change and there are 20 other places to get a good burger in a 5 miles radius so I'm sure I'll get over it.— December 27, 2020 10:22 p.m.

Angry Pete's Pizza brings Detroit to Kensington

Donut Panic, order online
Donut Panic is such a great name you wonder whether they came up with the name first and then the business.— July 27, 2020 6 p.m.
Behind the swastikas in Santee
Funny, growing up kids used to call Santee "Klantee." I guess there was some accuracy to that.— May 22, 2020 2:15 p.m.
Will Covid-19 turn San Diego’s water plan into Toilet to Grave?
I've seen a doc where they theorize that and how difficult it would be plus cost. Still an amazing idea that would not only bring water to that dying part of the southwest but housing and jobs also. Let's do it, where do I sign?— May 4, 2020 11:06 a.m.
Dining out in the time of Covid-19
100% agreed. I went out for lunch and dinner yesterday and there was no one in line and only a couple tables occupied. Do it fast because I bet they shut the restaurants down next.— March 15, 2020 6:52 p.m.
