Voice needs an editor; Chula Vista mayor needs hotelier cash
If the city were serious about transportation they would complete the planned roads in the UCSD area instead of pocketing the development impact fees they collected for these transportation projects and then using the money for their pensions. Cox, LimeBike, Monsanto, and more paying the influence peddlers
In theory our elected representatives should be talking and listening to us. At the Pure Water Council hearing last month Councils staff was actively talking with lobbyists during the hearing, staff was shuttling back and forth informing Council members what the lobbyists wanted, at a time when Council was supposed to be listening to us. Many of the 40 of us that testified against the lobbyist position were not actually heard. City voted unanimously as the lobbyists wanted. It is bad enough that we have a very limited time to be heard. We should find a platform to speak out and stop lobbyists from stealing our voice.— May 2, 2018 3:54 p.m.
Just keep toilet out of the title
The high pressure raw sewage line should be in a service tunnel if it is in an urban or sensitive environment. A service tunnel would; 1) Contain any leakage so that it can flow to a collection point and then to the city sewer, see illustration 2) When there is a catastrophic failure the tunnel contains air so that would greatly diminish the force upward and outward. 3) Would provide a method of repair, usually welding, that does not involve digging up streets. 4) The plan is to vent sewer gas at the dozen high points in the pipe, this gas will end up above the street. The air in the tunnel could be used as the conduit for this exhaust air so there will be no need to vent into our neighborhoods, but the tunnel must be uninterrupted for its full 11 mile length. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2018/m…— May 1, 2018 10:17 p.m.

I am all for the pure water project but we need to mitigate the risks associated with high pressure raw sewage.— May 1, 2018 10:15 p.m.
Brown Act shadows Faulconer's plan for November election and run for governor
Why the bums rush for a 2017 ballot? When is San Diego going to pick up on just how valuable the site and SDSU is? Get 3 or 4 vetted proposals and choose what is best for the taxpayers. FS may turn out to be the selected proposal. 2018 ballot at the earliest.— May 23, 2017 9:29 p.m.
Former lieutenant guns for Goldsmith
Goldsmith and Aguirre should also be investigated for their part in ignoring public safety and derailing the Regents Road bridge.— February 5, 2017 9:29 a.m.
Sandag members checking phones, whispering to each other
SANDAG is just too big and should be broken up. They have had ample time to complete the regional rail system and they have failed. The coaster and surf-liner should have had at least 4 stops between Old Town and Sorrento Valley by now. The new blue line runs next to the surf-liner and coaster. It is; redundant, parallel, separate and expensive. SANDAG is simply too wasteful with our taxpayer dollars and should not receive approval in November. A fraction of the money allocated for the blue line extension could have been directed to surf-liner coaster stations their parking garage structures and minimizing the use of imminent domain. This same issue was a sore on the blue line Tecolote station as well, I was present at the SANDAG meeting when their attorney boasted on how he had fooled the owner of the Tecolote property, a chill went through the audience. Here in University I have been trying to get the answer as to why SANDAG jogged these tracks in Rose Canyon, see photo. There is an article in the September Clairemont Times.— September 30, 2016 5:54 a.m.
