RE: the bleep.... I got a call from Mr. Murray demanding that I correct the way that I wrote about HIS rap in the video about a movie theater encounter. You can see it in the video at 00:32. I thought what I said in the explanation was exactly what he wanted. Apparently it was not as he wished and he requested it be taken down. At any rate, that's what the deletion was all about. I certainly wish no one would get the wrong impression about Mr. Murray's video.

Mr. Rodriguez responds: "Your estimates on city council pay and council pay is not correct." I told him that the figures I had came from the City of Oceanside and were provided by Transparent California. Because he was elected in November, the pay for his aide is not germane for this article since he only worked one month in 2018. But here is what the numbers show. These numbers were not known by Mr. Rodriguez. The "total pay and benefits" varied widely between Don Greene (Chuck Lowery's aide) and Vickie Prosser (Jack Feller). Prosser was paid $80,259 while Greene was paid $103,804. "Total pay and benefits" includes the categories of "Base pay," "Benefits," "Pension debt" and "Other Pay." Don Green received a whopping $18.475 in "other pay" which I am filing a public records request to find out what it was for. The "base pay" varies from $60,849 for Angela Sanchez (Esther Sanchez's niece and council aide) to $61,690 for Greene. The "total pay and benefits" for 2018 are as follows: Greene, $103,804; Sanchez, $82,295,; Prosser, $80,259; and Cliff Ireland (Kern) $80,111. Please note that mayor Weiss declined to get an aide saving the city of Oceanside tens of thousands of dollars. The council members themselves only cost the city this much: Kern, $48,263; Sanchez, $43,016; Feller $44, 963; Weiss $42,116. I think Councilmember Rodriguez stands corrected on his his assertion my numbers were off.

What I hear from the neighbors is that they are overjoyed condos aren't being proposed. Although that was only a rumored fear. But they are terrified about the onslaught of megachurch parking in their neighborhood.

The true value of Animal Kingdom to Oceanside

The Animal Kingdom crew spends about a total of 30 days filming in Oceanside between February and June for each season. The shoots are usually one week per month. Patrick Young, Oceanside's Recreation Supervisor for special events says the entire Animal Kingdom production spends about $1.2-million in Oceanside hotels, cafes and stores during those shoots. Young says the city of Oceanside itself gets between $30,000 and $50,000 each week the crew is in town filming. Young says Warner Bros. has committed to coming back next year but has given no details about specific locations or dates. He says that about 85% of the people he speaks with say the tawdry Animal Kingdom plot themes do not reflect badly on Oceanside.

Oceanside cop overtime puts city on the line

Dear Socks- I'm not an anonymous blogger, but I've always thought the point of any anonymous blog was to have some basic point or premise. Why do anonymous bloggers even bother to scrutinize or analyze? This article brought out the following points: Oceanside city government has a history of being backstabbing and it appears that it is getting less so. Also, Oceanside city managers have usually been fired after an ugly public display. This appears to be changing. Also, the political landscape for Oceanside mayor was outlined as it has never been done before in any other media, outlining the three major players as it stands right now. Why do anonymous bloggers over analyze? Why do anonymous bloggers even exist? To each his own.

The city of Oceanside's share of HEAP's 18mill was $200,000. How about the Chris Megison household getting $240,000 a year? He screams at other causes for giving out food and then calls them socialist. He then shakes down doners into doling out big bucks. Nothing wrong with that. However, Chris megison's drama preach only works if he can get people to buy into his scam that all homeless are druggies or alkies. The cult of Chris Megison is getting old, I am told by many people who work for free of get n't get paid a fraction of Megison 240k to help the homeless.

And may I add that no how much of a degenerate Donald Trump may be, these two ladies seemed like decent, standup people. The biggest takeaway from this article in my opinion is that hardcore, signwaving Republicans know that its over for Duncan Hunter.
