San Diego Unified accused of ignoring needs of autistic boy
So the mother marches into the new school district and demands that they follow her son's educational plan from another district. When they deviate from the Del Mar plan, she sues. I am assuming that she is suing for the long green. It makes sense that she would sue going from Del Mar to San Diego than the other way around. The pockets are much deeper in San Diego. It sounded like the San Diego district was trying to be accommodating. I don't really know the whole story but if the lawsuit's primary purpose is to " financially compensate" this family than how dare they use their autistic child to take advantage of some monetary loophole. If the parents are suing for a policy change within the school district that would accommodate educational plans from other districts for autistic children than I would stand corrected and kick my own ass. I don't suspect there will be any ass kicking here tonight.,— August 3, 2015 9:54 p.m.
Megan's Law, Step-Grandpa — deal with it
Am I understanding correctly? If a molester's victim was their child, stepchild, sibling, or grandparent ( which to me, is even more sicker than a friend or strangers child ) than they can be excluded from the website? What in the world would be the rationale behind such an exclusion?— May 31, 2015 12:42 p.m.
My Mira Mesa roommate called the police on himself
Adderall, back in my day we called them black beauties. Also in my day, the closest thing we had to Oxy was,,,, well heroin. The anti-anxiety pill is probably Xanax. I wish your friend the best but no one stands much of a chance when it will probably be the doctors and their prescription pads that kill him. Thanks for sharing your story tho',— February 26, 2015 6:52 p.m.
Dueling sanity experts expected
I'm curious how this parasitic monster could afford a private defense attorney. It would be some twisted shit if he is somehow able to use cash from his late Mother's estate to pay for a private attorney as well as the hired gun testimony from the medical (insert finger quotes here) experts.— October 23, 2014 7:25 a.m.
Dig a hole: Joan Rivers
Contrary to what's stated in the article, I believe that once Leno retired ( severing the last link to Carson) Joan was invited back to Fallon's Tonight Show earlier this year. NBC, and probably Leno, held a grudge for nearly twenty eight years but she finally made it back. RIP Joan. Like her or not, she stayed arguably relevant.— September 4, 2014 8:51 p.m.

Outasight, Daddy-o
Did the drivers steering go out also? The parking lot appears to be fairly empty. Those roadsters turn on a dime. Truck appears to have been hit dead center. Sounds like anger issues to me. Truth be told, in this day and age, I could be right!! Naw,,, I'm kidding. I'm sure that the throttle stuck in the up position.— June 30, 2014 2:52 p.m.
Homeless and at home in Hillcrest
Joseph would absolutely have stayed within the comforts of, what will probably be, his last chance refuge; his last chance to pull himself out of whatever shit he put himself into all those years ago. But for him, John Barleycorn lives out on the streets and would never be invited in to the places offered to Joseph. Very nice story but I can't help but think if Joseph was a young man ( or woman) would the author's final observations remain unchanged? http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2014/j…— June 13, 2014 8:55 p.m.
Ed scarfs his 1000th Tin Fork meal after a game of craps
Congratulations Ed on your 1,000th Tin Fork article. I've enjoyed your easygoing story telling for quite a while now and fervently hope that Carla allows you to do a thousand more. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2014/m…— May 7, 2014 5:36 p.m.
As Lambesis awaits sentencing…
An obvious guess as for delay of sentencing is that his lawyer is still getting paid to perform a service and at this point in Tim's 'journey', his lawyers job is to delay sentencing for as long as the law allows. I mean it's not like he's languishing in a cell somewhere,,,,,,yet. Ya know, we all probably have fantasized about offing someone at one time or another , but to actually hand over photo's, cash and gate codes to someone you believe kills people ,,,, there's some dark spot inside his head that will never be healed or rehabilitated. Keep up the good work Eva, I enjoy your columns.— May 2, 2014 8:18 p.m.
