Why was OB Pier report held back?
Every time I watch this as a news topic on different news stations, In my times of watching this news topic on the media, I not seen of civilians on the pier. In my earlier time of living in a coastal city that have a pier: most fisherman were standing towards the eastern end. Ocean Beach doesn't have a Chamber of Commerce for the usual attention of "tourists." There must be higher attention taken.— April 19, 2021 12:35 p.m.
As San Diego county dodged minimum wage, elderly suffered
Those public streets have now gotten soo quiet, as they are getting too cleaned out. As the public streets were the earlier problem, now the national border, that runs along our count(r)y line be the trouble -- as the citizens expand their traveling up further north. Be it walking, trolley, bus, public transit; car, bus, truck --- or whatever way.. Further concern to the health environment.— April 12, 2021 8:45 p.m.
Is Normal Heights' Orchid complex ugly or cool?
I like Red Onions way more than Yellow Onions. It been a way long time since I had a White Onion.— April 12, 2021 8:31 p.m.
Can Edco get San Diego to cut food waste in half?
The U.S. Citizens feel like they're in a clean sink; as that clean sink only getting more dirtyed up, because a garbage disposal is refusing to accept waste. As this be when it comes to undocumented or illegal citizens from south of the Border coming into the sink of the U.S. Border. !What if this problem was resolved by an theory EQUAL to these "massive turbines." (but) Rather then entering food for compost. Enter those unqualified coming into the U.S. illegally, but if it was was a method equal to the "massive turbine", So that once a certain amount been entered: the RESULT be that once the result coming out be all clean, legal, ethical. (a high hope of) No future problems.— March 25, 2021 6:21 p.m.
Pizza delivery has its own app
Thanks for this article.~ I've been wondering, for so longtime, why a "small" pizza business that I been a longtime customer of, has chosen to been charging a "$5.00" delivery fee. be it that the order be done online or phone-in. As this business not having a dine-in to its structure. That current dollar amount already is a big % of the value of the pizza I have ordered in my pasttimes. (yes, that is my theory that I base my decision of judging if a delivery rate be accepted; even more to debate when within so short a driving distance)— March 22, 2021 7:38 p.m.
Lobbyists clamor to feed police chief Nisleit
(In my response to the context from Matt): County cycling enthusiasts have cause for concern based of a new audit --- The examples shown, such as those, were some pasttime examples that the San Diego County Bicycling Coalition., would claim to have interest of concern to. But those were the times when SDCBC was claiming to be an advocate within cycling. I have now looked on their website, for an updat,, as SDCBC does not show of them being a (claimed to be) advocate anymore. But when INDIVDUAL cyclists having concern of real advocacy attention needed, that be when the SDCBC been of no help. (related to why advocacy no show anymore?)— March 17, 2021 7:27 p.m.
After 10 years, Gold Coast Drive finally to be fixed
What I shall have added it that what be seen of road damage in Mira Mesa, versus road damage in areas where El Cajon Blvd, University, and along the PCH --- all those are (not limited to those) roads. Roads that relate going into regions -- that generate COMMERCIAL REVENUE. Commercial Revenue defines roads that are damaged from commercial trucks, IN ADDITION to non-commercial motor vehicles; as there is much Weight/Size difference. Hence, San Diego County has too much motor vehicle traffic. As the revenue is mis-used for this longtime problem.— March 15, 2021 9:25 p.m.
After 10 years, Gold Coast Drive finally to be fixed
"city workers...telling motorists that cyclists are their equals - on the street where drivers have broken axles and moving cars have been tossed into parking cars." Cyclists are NOT EQUAL to Motorists, when driving on the road. Unfortunately, most cyclists are just a bunch of motorists in the option of driving their bikes. Rather than committed cyclists. San Diego has a SHORTAGE of non air-polluting, cyclists. MIRA MESA's complaining about those cracks! That's like anyone complaining about a spiderweb! (note the similarities) The 1st image looks in the shape similar to when it be a tree-root be growing out into the street, from the home-owner's yard. As MANY home-owners do not maintain of such. The taxpayers paying for such damage. What about the real potholes --- like in the higher traffic areas like El Cajon Blvd & University Ave. And other neighborhoods.— March 15, 2021 7:02 p.m.
San Diego's deadly bike lanes
It took some days to get comments about the bike lanes; if Oscar's Facebook tech comment was only as clear, as (lack of) concern to the potholes and rubbish to the San Diego County bike lanes. When I say "lack of concern", this apply to Oscar, multiple sources, within the cities and county. And above. Most $ources are taxpayer paid/funded, in some way.— March 10, 2021 7:10 p.m.
Parking tickets return to places like Normal Heights
For decades in priority of the City (even County) in concerns of needing to earn revenue, as other ways of revenue have not been making the profit to the Cities/County --- that were wanted: I could not understand that Cities and County have not given higher priority to "Parking." In the same theory as Cities and County gives to property tax, but as side-to-side priority. Just look at the "traffic" of cars versus the building rate of homes, and businesses (earning revenue). Vs. more 'open space' being lost of. Property owners (property tax) and motor vehicles (gas and Parking Fees) are where the tax profit be at.— March 6, 2021 6:48 a.m.
