Due process people jumping ship? I dont think so Don...yeah the politicians have turned on him but thats because they are being paid off. We supporters are just as aggressive as ever. this story is falling apart and mcCormack reveals just how weak the story is. her narrative is so far from believable. Don he has gotta hang tight. These people will NEVER allow this case to go to court because if they did it would reveal that it was a setup. They are going to have to explain WHY they have video of Filner kissing an employee and then supeona phone records which will prob show contact between the victims and the Repub PI that was following Filner w/ the video camera.— July 23, 2013 11:46 p.m.

Why Filner should file a defamation case
yeah if you read the fiances statement, its all smoke and mirrors. It doesnt say a damn think except that he lost his temper in the airport at her. Nothing in that statement would hold up in a court of law. Its all insinuation. there is no substance and since when is an ex girlfriend unbiased? and when does she get to demand her ex bf resign on behalf of an entire city. This is ALL smoke. Bauder did not work for the UT for 25 years! its not like she worked there for 5 years as a writer. She worked there for 25 YEARS as a very high level employee. it is impossible that someone with that background would not have been deeply entrenched in their politics. The UT has always been a sad excuse for journalism and has always been pure spin. I respect Don alot and his work here at the Reader. He is an excellent researcher and is not in the same boat as MCCormack at all. NTM McC has made some very questionable decisions while she was on the Port that should have raised flags for Filner. Also G.G. don't think for a second that they have not hired people to go online and post comments on blogs like mine claiming I am "blaming the victim" and how dare I question a "victim". Please do not be guilted by this. This is a very big part of their strategy to guilt ANYONE saying wait a sec this does not add up. As I have said I have dedicated countless hours to helping real victims of abuse. These women do not appear to be victims at all. There is something much bigger going on here and we can not be intimidated with guilt into keeping our mouths shut about this suspicious narrative that gets more questionable everyday.— July 23, 2013 11:26 p.m.

Yep Frank, I am a blogger, but that said, all of the info on here is taken straight from Irenes ZoomInfo work history profile. I am not pretending this is a "story". its a blog. That said you know what a lame lame story is? the UTs big FRONT PAGE story that the sheriff put a hotline up for Filner victims. That is not a "story" at all, but examining the McCormacks very long work history is very valid. And I will certainly not be the last to do this.— July 23, 2013 11:23 p.m.

I would like to thank the SD Reader for being 1 of the few publications in this town to respect the 1st amendment. We can not give up the 1st amendment for any reason. They are trying to use the victim narrative to bypass the 1st amend and the 5th amend of due process. That is not how America works. Look if a woman is going to demand something as serious as Filner resign w/o any due process then she has to accept that there is going to be some discussion about possible political motives. There is way too much at stake here to lay down our right to have an open discussion about these accusations As I have said all along, this is simply not consistent with a real victim narrative and we have to ask questions. To all the people claiming I am "attacking McC on this....look this woman is not a shrinking violet. She has 34 YEARS experience in very high level positions. She is a pitbull and very shrewd. This is NOT consistent w/ a REAL narrative of abuse and I have dedicated countless hours to charities for battered woman because they r REAL victims. Neither of these women qualify as REAL victims. Irene did not even consider her case important enough to file in a timely manner. She was very well schooled in how exactly to deal w/ harassment and how to sho other how to deal.
