Transparency lags as GOP fundraisers fan out for anti-Filner drive
Great work Matt!!! Thank you!!!— August 9, 2013 12:34 a.m.
Sheriff reportedly plotting mayor's ouster got funds from Lynch, Blue, hotel interests, report says
I dont know if you saw thia but I put this timeline of the recall together which certainly suggests it was planned from the start. I am obv just a blogger trying to scrape together what I can because no one but the SD Reader is looking into any of this, Thank you for being one of the few journalists who is. maybe some of the stuff I have scraped together can help put this big picture together. Thanks again Matt!!! http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/ive-got-iss…— August 7, 2013 8:53 p.m.

Matt, someone posted this comment on my blog about the guy bank rolling the recall effort. He really needs to be investigated further. .....Interesting. On 7/6/13, I waited in line to speak with Bob Filner (at his once-a-month forum to speak directly with him) for a couple hours. NEXT to me in line was Michael Pallamary, Land Use Consultant, and current recall head fellow. We visited on and off about his reason for being there (representing LA Developer Kilroy Realty's 23 acre Carmel Valley project) to voice his chagrin/disappointment with Filner's position. Per article in today's UT, "Earlier this year, Filner intervened at a community planning meeting to oppose a 23-acre project in Carmel Valley, saying the 2.1 million-sqare-foot, mixed use project was far bigger that what the neighborhood wanted. Los Angeles developer Kilroy Realty subsequently downsized the One Paseo complex by one-third and is awaiting approval for City Hall." The above item, the UT ownership (Papa Manchester, John Lynch) and other 'connections' are very, very much in play......what media in SD will have the courage to connect the dots?— August 7, 2013 8:50 p.m.

Michelle I doubt your credibility. I know you are all over FB w/ your Filner bashing. the Reader is the last bastion of the truth in reporting. They are independently owned and not bowing to special interests like everyone else is. thank god there is some real investigation into this case which is falling apart.— August 7, 2013 8:44 p.m.
Who's investigating Filner? It's who's NOT investigating him
Matt someone left me this comment on my blog about the guy bankrolling the recal effort. You guys should for sure dig into this connection. Its key. Thanks!!! Interesting. The suspicious timeline of the Filner recall, domain names registered January 7th
Steve, wow! thank you for sharing that! That is good to know!!! i will look into this further!— August 6, 2013 4:16 p.m.
Filner imbroglio is all about greed
Thanks Don...You are one of the ONLY legit voices speaking on this. Dont get persuaded by the unbelievable biased media. These guys are a joke. they are not asking the basic important questions. They are not asking the "who"...as in "who" is bankrolling this and its a land use expert Michael Pallamary...they are not asking "when" as in when did the City start looking into the recall process and we have evidence showing Goldsmith was aggressively looking into changing the recall process well before any sex allegations. There is far too much at stake for us to sit back and take this. This whole episode is clear evidence that we have a criminal enterprise running our government. We MUST address this and that begins by addressing the cabal counting our votes...an all Repub Board of Supervisors who has totally centralized the vote counting process to ensure they can stay in power indefinitely. they will never allow anyone good like Filner to be elected again. we have to address the foundations of this problem.— August 2, 2013 12:40 a.m.
No known witnesses yet in Jackson lawsuit, says Filner's lawyer

No known witnesses yet in Jackson lawsuit, says Filner's lawyer
Here is a very telling excerpt from a State of California Lands Commission where the Port is applying for a development permit. ACTING COMMISSIONER GORDON: Yeah. So am I to understand that you did not request the waiver, that the Coastal Commission granted it on their own behest? MS. McCORMACK: Yes. We went and we were going to -- we filed a coastal development permit and they said it was a waiver. MR. BRIGGS: That's not true. Why did Corey Briggs think she is such a credible witness now when he knew her firsthand to say things that are not true as shown in this transcript?— August 2, 2013 12:31 a.m.
