Trump dump
Shouldn't the Mayor work towards on-line credit card payments for our water bills before ramping up credit card payment at the dump? Fitting the complainer found his niche at the dump.— March 21, 2017 6:42 p.m.
Trump dump
If I am not mistaken, she fought for pay increase, for a handful of NFL cheerleaders in California, all the while hundreds of thousands of Californians were subjected to wage theft. Calderon finally took some action only to be indicted. At any rate, neither one of these two should be in public service.— March 21, 2017 10:11 a.m.

City to retake De Anza Cove real estate
Surferjohn, Nice rant, however, sort of irrelevant; the issue is not whether they will leave; rather, will they in essence be paid just compensation for the long term ground lease property take and damages caused by the City. Appears to be a constitutional issue among other things. The judge awarded attorney fees which tells me their constitutional rights among other things were violated in the process. Unfortunately, tax payers will suffer the consequences, including prior poor landlord/agent judgement. Thanks for sharing your post.— December 16, 2014 7:04 p.m.
City attorney considers conflict of interest

Off the record: city attorney and U-T reporters
Reader, I will not take sides on this, however, it does appear very peculiar how counsel's fingers are all over everything, from an apparent political engineering standpoint. Is this part of Counsel's scope of work to provide secret press releases without cross examination? Most other practicing Counsel in California and elsewhere are much more cautious with respect to commenting on confidential client matters citing attorney / client privilege repeatedly, and rightfully so. If my attorney of record was leaking information without conferring with me first, i would feel violated. Attorney / client privilege is for the client's benefit, not for the attorney's benefit. Is the client aware of the leakage? Is this a conflict of interest by Counsel while being charged with the duty of protecting attorney / client privileged matters? Atty. Goldsmith should know privilege is not for Counsel's benefit, rather, it's for the client's benefit.— August 25, 2013 4:48 p.m.
