Imperial Beach Murder Suspect’s Facebook Page Can’t Help
Thank you Mr. Cornaglia. I like your stories too. Crimes of passion are very intriguing to me.— October 19, 2012 11:45 a.m.
Imperial Beach Murder Suspect’s Facebook Page Can’t Help
I included it with the story: Here it is but don't delay as I imagine it will probably come down soon: http://www.facebook.com/VegasBabeB?fref=ts This is a public Facebook page. My heart goes out to the family of victim Victor Saucedo.— October 18, 2012 12:47 p.m.
San Diego Police Help Mom in Ocean Beach
Yes to all, @Javajoe25. But I think the cops might have all been there looking for donuts, not cookies!— October 12, 2012 7:11 p.m.
San Diego Police Help Mom in Ocean Beach
I would say it is newsworthy because the cops have been taking a lot of heat from the women (& men) of OB for not doing enough to stop the peeping toms & sex abusers who are harassing the beach area's females. I commend the Reader for being balanced in their coverage of both the cops helping out & the frightened OB females who are mobilizing to stop the creepers. BTW, the Halloween cookies @ Azucar are out-of-this world delicious! http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2012/oct/1…— October 12, 2012 11:58 a.m.
La Jolla Villa up for Auction
If I can find the several million dollars I thought was laying around my crib, then maybe I might just make an offer and host snooty La Jolla Rave parties to recoup my investment.— October 7, 2012 5:08 p.m.
Ocean Beach Sex Crimes Prompt Frustration at Meeting
It is my personal belief that since Ocean Beach is considered to be such a laid back and tolerant community, that some disturbed individuals might take that to also mean that the women folk will sit back and not harsh at being harassed, peeped at or sexually violated. That does not necessarily mean the homeless are behind these recent misogynistic assaults; it could just as easily be horny outsiders or Newport Ave drunken bar patrons. The ladies of Ocean Beach need to take a stand against this B.S. and call it out. The meeting that Mercy covered is a good first step on that journey. Men of Ocean Beach: please stand with the females and keep our safety and security needs in mind so we can get our little beach town back to being the idyllic community it was meant to be.— September 27, 2012 12:07 p.m.
Mermaid Spotted in Ocean Beach
The kids were fascinated...and so were the (red-blooded) men! LOL— September 26, 2012 5:18 p.m.
Vigil for Ambassador Stevens in downtown San Diego
Thank you to califcomedy for the kind words. I noticed a story in the LA Times about the Syrian American Council organizing vigils for the Ambassador across the west. The Facebook organizer of the San Diego vigil, Sherin, told me that our local Channel 6 station came out and shoot some footage of them Sat. night but I don't know if it ever made it onto their news show.— September 19, 2012 2:50 p.m.
Car Hits Moped Rider in Point Loma
The difference it makes is that I got a good look at the accident site and when I heard that the victim might be as young as 18, there seemed to be a good possibility that she lost control of the moped as opposed to deliberately running the stop sign. Why are you so critical of other Reader commenters, jnojr. NOT COOL!— September 14, 2012 10:56 p.m.
Car Hits Moped Rider in Point Loma
I get the feeling that the young moped rider was having trouble navigating the Coronado Ave. hill she was riding down. It is steep going down to Catalina Blvd., and maybe she not so much "ran" the stop sign but was having trouble stopping? All together, a very sad day.— September 13, 2012 8:19 a.m.
